No it's pretty simple actually. Glad you know how to use quotations as well. However, the use of quotations would not be needed in this instance because that is what I was actually doing, it was not meant in sarcasm. Sorry you do not know that.
And also, clearly you have reading comprehension issues so I will try to go slow.
Star stated, "He was dumb and fell for a hoax that a few kids ran on him."
Which means Star actually believes what both Notre Dame and Te'o said.
Notre Dame said in a press conference that Te'o was the victim of a hoax.
Te'o said he was the victim of a hoax.
Star believes what both are saying when he stated, "He was dumb and fell for a hoax that a few kids ran on him."
So, like anyone who knows how to follow a logic argument, that means Star believes Te'o fell for a hoax, when in actuality it was not a hoax because Te'o himself stated he met the girl and that the girl traveled to Hawaii and met Brain Te'o (that's Manti Te'o's father)
So in conclusion it literally is impossible to have an adult conversation with you (as I explained above) and it would be equally impossible to have an adult conversation with Star since Star himself is in denial of what actually happened. (once again follow the logic of the above break down. You cannot argue with someone who is in denial, Star is in denial, he thinks it is a hoax)
Any questions?

So you are claiming ND really did not hire a firm to investigate and that Swarbrick made everything up he said in his press conference? Why would he do that instead of distance the University from the situation? It will obviously come out if he and Te'o are both lying and it is a complete fabrication.

They all said that they didn't meet her, instead he (Te'o) would leave them to meet up with her.
If you think about it, this makes it 10x worse. Who has a girlfriend, that they're madly in love with, that flies to Hawaii, and not one single family gets to see her?
Then, several interviews, Te'o claims that his girl loved his family more than anything in the world. But, she flies all the way to Hawaii and never stops by and sees them when visiting him?
Manti has some serious mental issues, because he actually believes his own lies. Now, he replaces his former comments about having seen her before, with him being hoaxed and that he actually has never met this girl.
Kid is a raging, pill popping, mentally unstable middle linebacker, in training. He needs to bypass the draft and get some serious help.

No, I am claiming that the rapes were an internal matter and easy to coverup, therefore no PI needed because it was the girls word against the players.
This is not an internal matter and there are witnesses, sources, interviews, etc that do not allow this to be easily covered up. This is a higher priority to ND because they can't write their own story. It shows where their priorities are at to everyone with their head not stuck in the sand.

I'm saying that he was a full participant in this whole scam. I'm saying that he knew long before she "died" that she didn't exist. I'll put my money on that long before I will believe that it's a hoax.
Edit: I will be the first to eat my crow if I'm proven wrong.

You speak so matter of factly, like you are privy to evidence that we are not. Perhaps the kid lied about meeting said girl to cover up an embarrassing thing in his life. Perhaps he lied to his family and it was his family that said how they met. Maybe he was embarrased about falling for a girl via social networks to tell his family how they really met. None of these are plausible to you? If not, then I am sorry, the problem isn't with me. Again, I am not defending him here, just stating that these are plausible events that could explain why he reacted the way he did. Just because you and I would have no issue with telling someone we hooked up with someone online doesn't mean everyone is like us.
Man, just call up ESPN and them know that you are aware of (and I will use your words here) what actually happened! Oh, you mean you don't have proof? You mean you are speculating just like star was based on what is know so far? I see.
And because someone believes something, doesn't mean they are defending it. Star hasn't stated anyone was wrong in their belief even if it was contrary to his/hers. That is what you are doing.
I would bet that if the Tuiasasopo kid came out and said Manti had nothing to do with it, you still wouldn't believe them right?

I have noticed that you have done nothing to try and defend Te'o to me but rather your meager attempt to poke holes in my story/logic.
Why is that exactly? Why are you not coming with some sort of a rebuttal like your ridiculous notre dame comrade is attempting to do?

If I was here to simply bash Notre Dame then I would have posted a lot more than that. I have stated facts and have asked legit questions based off of facts.
You, on the other hand, have made it obvious that your head is in the sand and you will deflect any and everything with no facts. What are these "facts" that I have ignored?

I have stated already I do not know if and what he is guilty of...still waiting for Te'o to answer some questions. However, when I read completely false claims or claims that I have yet to read anywhere after reading countless articles on the subject, I am going to ask for a link. Te'o has a lot to answer for but at the same time many are not doing their homework on what is know already. That is including ESPN. They have a ticker headline right now that is false based on Swarbrick's timeline of what Te'o found out on the 6th etc. Yet they are using that very timeline as their source.

It's holes in his story like the ones you have brought up here that make me not so quick to believe his story. Things just don't add up and I don't know why. While my bias HOPES he wasn't in on it, I can see how he could be. Very valid points!
If he was in on it, I surely hope he does seek help because that is not what a healthy minded individual does.

Man that is a tough one. I mean it supposedly went on for three years.
I'm saying that he knew about it before the season began. I'm saying that I believe he knew long before she supposedly died.
I will also say one more time that I don't blame any of this on Notre Dame. My issue with this story lies with Te'o and him alone.
Tuskstider just provided a link where it proves that Te'o was still claiming his girlfriend died of cancer three days after he was supposedly told it was all a lie.

At first I thought he was in on it, 100%. Now, I'm more taking a step back on that.
I think everyone should. If this kid is mentally unstable, which is seeming to be the most obvious motive by the second, I don't want to pounce on him.
The media is just as wrong as him, IMO. What if it comes to light that he really believed all of this? Even if he played a part in it, or not.
The so called professionals sat through inconsistency after inconsistency, when being told these made up tales, and reported them. Now, they are killing the guy. That's damn near entrapment, or close to it.
He got a phone call in early Dec., from someone claiming she wasn't dead, and he still talked about those stories after receiving said phone call.
Case closed. Get this kid some meds, immediately, and put the target on those idiot news outlets that forgot to fact check.

Wow, the level of stupidity is simply stunning.
I do speak in a matter of fact because I am using facts. I know weird right? He stated he met a girl at the Stanford game in 2009. Then claims she had cancer and killed her off. Awesome person.
The fact that even attempt to defend him is both astonishing and repulsive at the same time. The level of blind blatant homerism you are displaying is nothing short of amazing. You act like that one black jury guy on the Dave Chappelle Show where he talks about seeing R Kelly peeing a girl and how he would need to see R Kelly doing it, have R Kelly holding two forms of i.d.'s have his grandmother standing there taking pictures and he would still not believe it was R Kelly.
You literally sound like that. The most ridiculous defending of a person with mental issues I have ever seen or heard.
Edit: Added the date range of Te'o stating he met this girl after a Stanford game in 2009! I repeat, he claims to have met her in 2009!
