test on what I’m hearing regarding Orlando (Fla.) WR Tony Stevens:

I can confirm that he reached out to the FSU coaching staff last night and called wide receiver coach Lawrence Dawsey. This morning Stevens called coach Rick Trickett, his regional recruiter. That was his first contact with the FSU staff since decommitting on Wednesday night.

From everything I’ve been told, Tony back tracked on his twitter statements from Wednesday night. Which read like this:

Tony Stevens told the FSU coaching staff last night and again this morning that he is committed to Florida State. Since he clearly stated on twitter that he was decommitting, we will not add him back on the commit list until he goes on the record saying he’s committed.

That’s the latest development, we’ll continue to keep you update with what we’re hearing.

Lol these rumors are bogus. They are rumors for a reason, last hear from tony himself he's decommited. He decommited for a reason and it has been in the works for a while. Fsu has too many WR in the class and his number one thing is playing time. Michael Chung I think it was is hearing "rumors" that osu is his number one school. That's who he's had the most contact with and that would provide him the most playing time.... Until further notified by tony himself, I'll stick with the theory that he's def looking at the best available option for himself and he's NOT "committed" to fsu

I remember when we were arguing with ohio fans about Joyner a few years back. Joyner did not include FSU in his top schools, and ohio fans thought they had him despite FSU fans still telling them he would be a Nole in the end of the day.

So the night he himself said on twitter that he is decommitting he also told espn he's still solid to fsu.... That's makes a ton of sense.

We'll see how it develops from here but fsu cannot feel confident in him ending up publicly committing to fsu after he publicly decommited
