Georgia produces more talent but that means more talent for the surrounding states. They can only sign 25-28 a year and Richt, Donnan have had that state on lockdown for sometime. A few stars have gotten away but not many. Maybe their level of competition is a little overrated at the high school level? I can see JC's point but I think Georgias talent level has always been a tad overrated.

I don't know... It seems every year top players leave that shouldn't.. I mean some really, really good/ game changing type players have left the state... Injuries hurt them, too.
I personally think Alabama is the better job.. I mean it's Alabama and more appealing than Georgia. I know the argument against that though.

OK, gotcha. UGA is more 'set up" for success. UA is in a smaller, less talented producing state that competes with AU. Since UA leads the SEC in all time everythings, I guess their actual success counts for less than UGA's great set up. The nation's leading underachievers have a better "job" than one of the nation's highest overachievers and a universisally aknowledged blue-blood. UGA has accommplished litle more than BYU on the national stage. LLOOLL.

You make an interesting observation, but the NFL numbers tell you otherwise. Georgia has more players on rosters than most other states not named Florida, California or Texas. Now, the issue could be evaluation. I don't know.
Georgia high school football is very good. The coaches there tend to run more conservative offenses (lots of wing t, wishbone, power I type stuff) than maybe coaches in Alabama or South Carolina, but it's good competition at nearly every level. Also, the greater Atlanta area continues to grow and with it has come a ton of talent production.
