    You could make the argument that most of Alabama's success is due to great coaching by Wallace Wade, Frank Thomas, Bear Bryant, Gene Stallings and Nick Saban because the other coaches there have done very little and that the actual program isn't as set up for success so much as it's had the right leadership and at several distinct times made the right choices as far as the person to lead their program.

    You are splitting hairs between No. 6 and No. 9, but I Georgia is still the better job.

    2. "the other coaches there have done very little"? You do realize that every coach since 1922 has (except ears) either won an SEC title or finished in the top 10 and keep in mind Fran's 2002 team didn't get a chance to redeem a 2 point loss to UGA due to sanctions.

    3. FSU #3? They dominated a joke of a conference for 2 decades. Put them in the top 5 when they beat Va. Tech

    4. Penn State? When was the last time they were relevant? The 90's? And this "great job" that is a "monster" only has 2 national titles, 2 less than Georgia Tech.

    Top 5 is some version of Texas, Alabama, USC, Ohio State and Florida

    Exactly how many MNCs does ND claim? Does it matter that Michigan has more all-time wins, better winning % and leads in the head-to-head series?

    Michigan is as deep-rooted in traditions as any program out there.

    No, I did not say Michigan invented football, but you are ignorant of ND's history if you didn't know that Michigan is the one that though Notre Dame how to play football.

    And if we wanted to claim all the years that a selector anointed us as NC, then we could claim 21. Though MNCs are useless because they are voted for and not decided on the field.

    Also Michigan is number one in wins, while ND is only fourth with over 40 wins separating us. It would take 4 years of no wins and ND 4 years of undefeated seasons to take out spot.

    Nevermind the fact that Michigan leads the series 22-15-1.

  • What a jacked up list. Lets put overated every year georgia in the top ten and throw auburn in there because they won a championship with a bought player or two. You could spin this list a number of different ways. like who has won the most, which schools have the most money to spend, furtile recruiting , facilities, fan base etc. A mix of all would have a top ten look more or less something like this (take these ten and stack them anyway you want 1-10)
