3. But UF and LSU also have multiple NC's . There have been even more since the start of the game in 98'. The SEC has won 8 out of the 15 NC games. We are 8-1 in them as well (only loss is to another SEC team).
Bama (09', 11', 12') LSU (03', 07') [played for another in 11'] UF (06', 08') Tennessee (98') AU (10')

I'm not doubting the strenght of the top team each of those years. I'm just saying as far as ND goes, people say, "they finally faced a real team in Alabama. SEC! SEC!" The fact is they were THE top team in that conference. You can't say because they beat up on ND so bad that ND couldn't hang with others in the SEC. I simply used the UF/Louisville game as an example because that doesn't mean they are better than everyone UF beat. Same as ND, that doesn't mean Georgia (or any SEC team for that matter) would beat them just because they played a closer game with Alabama.
Just curious - why is that fans from the SEC get a hard on to root for your rivals? Does it justify your team not winning the title? I mean, I look at this way. Lets say I was a Duke basketball fan. Never would I root for a UNC, NC State, UVA, or any other ACC team to win it all. That's bragging rights over your team. I have always wondered that - maybe I'm in the minority but that just seems odd to me.

I'm assuming you formed your opinion from the ND/Alabama game? So is it ok for me to say that Louisville is better than pretty much the entire SEC since they walked the dogs on Florida? You can't compare Alabama to the SEC until someone can actually knock them from the top spot. A&M played a great game and beat them but they still won the SEC conference. Is the SEC the best conference? Sure, but again, how many of those 7 or 8 consecutive titles does Alabama have?
Listen, the whole white boy thing for our DB's isn't the problem. Last I checked, the last one we had starts for the Vikings and Motta(our most current one) will be drafted as well. ND's problem this year was a lack of offense and no depth defensively. Just for the record, they lost their starting CB for the year during spring ball and their top CB recruit left (because of homesickness I believe). ND is on the right track and our QB was only a freshman.
PS: USC will never win a NC with Lane Kiffin as coach. You had the talent to be special this year but you saw how that went.

Wow, I ask this question all the time in this s-hole SEC loser town in Georgia that I call home for now. They pull that SEC card all the time when their team hasn't sniffed a national championship since hmmm 1980.
I always use my Red Sox fandom and try to make sense of rooting for division/conference rivals in the yanks/sox rivalry. Do you really think I would ever pull for the Yankees EVER? Hell no!!!
It is their way of feeling like winners in which they thrive off the 3 teams that actually win the championships and it helps them sleep better at night. Kind of sad if you ask me.

Read my post above. In pro baseball you can lose 60-70 games in a row and limp into the playoffs. It doesn't matter as long as you get there. Nobody's success but your own matters. In college football, every single game you play matters. Not only that, but the type of season your opponents have matter too. If you have one loss on your resume and it's to a team that dropped the lat 6 games, you are screwed. But if you have a loss and that team is kicking ass, then you look much, much better. Can you really not understand this or are you trolling? I find it very unlikely anyone is this dumb. You are comparing pizza to mexican food.

Yeah there are only about 3 teams in the SEC that are consistently good. The thing of it is those teams are EXTREMELY good year in and year out. I don't think any team in the country could have beat Alabama that night. The south in general is so college football centric that if your favorite team isn't winning or doing good then I suppose it would be easier to hop on the coattails and root for the entire conference.

ITT SEC cronies have been hyped up by ESPN into believing they are some super powerful unstoppable force.
Have fun once your streak ends, basically Bama is in front of all of CFB I don't see anything that points to any other SEC team being better than the top of other conferences.
