name it? they'll be favored by double digits in every game except oregon. yes, schedule is a joke. hey usc is a great team. schedule is a joke, same with fsu. or any team in the big ten.

    LSU, Bama, USC, probably Oklahoma

the worst thing about it is that UGA should go undefeated into the SECG if Richt doesnt find a way to screw up and they could make the top 4 despite not being that good of a team

Hmmm yes-after Bama the only other game that is a possible defeat is ND.... Msu- the coaching finally puts our superior players over the the top.( great run sparty's) . Nebraska = arm punter(enuff said) not a threat there- Ohio will learn urbs is just some make up that will be washed off sooner than later!

    i like ur optomism, slugjuice!

i will be rooting for blue against bama, its a probable loss tho (altho, i did in another post say um wins, i think i was drunk, lol)

the rest are toss-ups and 3 are away (i think)....

u wont lose all 4, but wont win all 4 either, i see a split (i think u beat neb, and msu, and lose to nd and osu)...

my reasoning is neb is a good not great team, ur due against msu and hoke will throw the kitchen sink at them...

nd is due to beat um and its in south bend, lastly, osu at home with no chance at post season play IS the season for the seniors and meyer (its our super bowl)...

so i'll say um goes 9-3...not too bad considering that schedule

Just because they'll be favoured, doesn't mean it's easy. Stanford, a solid team, cal has good defense, Alabama remembers what happened when they took Utah lightly, Washington who's qb outplayed last year's heisman winner. Oregon twice, and ND who fumbled away a 10-2. Possible 11-1 season last year. That is not a cupcake schedule. Plus. A few underdogs who would love nothing more than to dash USC's run at the title.

what's stanford's pre season ranking going to be? not near the top 20.
Zach maynard at cal is the worst d1 qb to take snaps in pac 10 history.
washington, the team that gave up 65 to baylor.
nd is a turnover factory, yes they will be better. game in la.
oregon twice is the toughest part of the schedule.
usc is a good team, feldman and most college analysts agree with the easy schedule.
utah game, nice reference, lost 4 o lineman within the first quarter, that's apples and oranges. game was a matchup problem from the get go as the 08 team was year 2 under Saban, elite talent was young.

big 10 teams have done really well in recent years in out of conference bowl games right?

    LSU USCw OU FSU

(I think we beat Bama at home this year considering what they lose and what we return) And I'm a homer.

I think LSU, OU and USCw go undefeated and probably FSU.. I just looked at FSU's schedule, No reason they should lose a game.

After that I would have Oregon and Bama

This is what I have also. LSU having Bama at home is the difference for that game.

osu has beaten oregon, ark, and miami (pac 10 champs, sec runner-up and theeee team of the decade and defending champs)(and nd 2x)....yes, we lost to usc, lsu, fla and texas (altho we did beat tex in texas, 1-2 match-up)... not bad

um (before r.r, has done very well against the sec, beating tebow's lead gators, and bama) vt last yr

    iowa beat lsu

    psu beat lsu

    msu beat georgia

so the big ten has had some success and some losses...

true, the sec is the best conf. the last 5-10 yrs, but that doesnt mean the big ten cant compete now and in the future...

    Love your recap......So true.....

The whole country knows of the weak schedules of USC, Boise, etc....It is an accepted fact. (Kind of like Aubarn paying for Cam!!...Everyone knows....)

Same tough conferences....same weak conferences.......And some schools will always offer the same a$$ets to entice their recruits to $ign on N$D.

    Some things never change!

Well at least everyone will know how good Bama and Michigan are in a few months.

I don't get the WVU part, just trying to pick someone no one has picked?

Geno Smith is a friggin beast though.. Does WVU still have Steadman Bailey and Tavon Austin?

I know they lost Bruce Irving off their D.. I see WVU losing 2 or 3 games.. At best, only lose 1 game

Stanford's ranking will be top 15 without luck. second aren't the SEC honks always talking about defense winning championships, because cal may have been inept on offense, but their defense is solid. Utah is a solid team, and more than likely, the turnover bug will not visit ND anywhere near like last year.

    1. USC (12-1) 2. Alabama (12-1) 3. Oregon (12-1) 4. Florida St (12-1)

Either USC or Oregon would be coming off of a PAC 12 championship loss (assuming they play for it, and if not, one of them wouldn't have been participating)...still think both of them would make the top 4 playoff?

This. Wouldn't happen that way. Of course, since there isn't an actual playoff this year, this is entirely hypothetical so I guess we can forget about championship game losses for now.

And I see we're on the Florida State hype train once again?

Both of them would have a loss to the other. A selection committee that chose one would also choose the other, unless there are undefeated teams from two of the Big Ten, Big Twelve (I don't see it happening in either conference this year), and ACC (FSU has the best shot, but I don't see it happening). USC would get the #1 seed because they would go to undefeated Oregon and win the conference championship game in Autzen (USC would be seeded ahead of Alabama because of 2011's "best loss" precedent). Oregon would get into the tournament because they would be 12-1 with a win at USC in November.

The one of my four had the most trouble with is Florida St. A 12-1 ACC team is almost sure to get left out in favor of a 1-loss Big 12 champ, Big Ten champ, or SEC runner-up (conference or division). They could also get left out in favor of a 2-loss Big 12 champ or SEC runner-up if that runner-up looked especially dominant at time and had "good" losses (for instance, if Georgia was 11-2 with only losses at South Carolina in early October and vs. Alabama in the SEC title game). FSU making the 4-team tournament would likely require the Big 12 champ to be 10-2, the Big Ten champ to be 11-2, the SEC runner-up to be 11-2, and all non-AQ schools to have at least one loss.

Tell me exactly how you think Michigan beats Bama?

Lets see, can they pass....not really and Bama has Dee Milliner, Robert Lester and Vinnie Sunseri.

Can they run....against Bama? WHO CAN? I guess Georgia Southern could....haha

    so how will they score?

By what logic do you assume there's no threat? Michigan goes 6-2 in conference with a weak schedule and now they're head and shoulders above every other Big Ten team? There might be more parity in the B10 this year than in any other conference in the country.
