Thomas is a very good all-around player. Started at CB as a freshman on 5A Klein Collins, played CB and S as a sophomore and both sides of the ball in 2012 as a junior.

While he is getting looks at WR now, I like him on D long term.

I like seeing some B1G teams other than Ohio State & Michigan dip into the South and pull out some top talent, it's good for the B1G. Now if some of these other knucklehead programs would like to start acting like a BCS conference....

Any team that consistently gets wins in the Big Ten, while only obtaining 2-star and 3-star recruits (with rare exceptions), has a GREAT coaching staff! Add to that the innately superior intelligence of the players on average, and it's just a matter of time before the word "elite" is thrown around with the purple program at NU.

Northwestern is on the rise. They have some good Houston area talent and they continue to build their pipeline up to Chicago. To get a kid like JT will also make some of the other kids think twice about the Wildcat program. Not only was it the lure of the academics, JT loves the fact that he will get to defend NFL caliber talent playing every year against Michigan, Mich State, Ohio State, Penn State and on occasion Notre Dame and Stanford. There is something to be said for that. Go Cats!!!!
