That's laughable. Development is the most overrated idiom out there. It's all about recruiting. When you get major talent in the program, it goes to the NFL 99% of the time. When you grab 2 and 3*'s, you're not "developing"

what are you talking about? you said when you grab 2 and 3's you're not developing? that makes no sense...2 and 3's in most cases means they aren't as talented as 5's so therefore you coach them up and help them develop physically and mentally to better prepare them for on the field and off the field performance..just because a guy is a 5 star out of high school doesnt mean the coaches just say "hey he is a 5 star so we have no need to coach him up anymore".

Under Chizik Auburn's defenses have been horrible, even the championship year..they have been poor tacklers and have had no discipline and IMO that is poor development consider Chizik is supposed to be a great defensive mind. Ya'll have had good recruting classes too so obvioulsy the talent is there

Dre played 3 solid years for us and improved alot from year to year..just because he didn't have 6 picks a year does not mean he wasnt developed..dre was a solid tackler and very disciplined

oh and loi on him being drafted on strictly measurables and HC's reputation

Cam was good before he got to auburn and Chizik was not the quarterback coach and i'm sure was not the play caller

AU had faith in his abilities, when few to no schools really did. They took his raw talent and formed him into the NFL offensive rookie MVP that he is. That's quite a feather in anyone's cap, not to mention a national championship in year two.
