  • Wow if we made a thread for every player bucknuts said was a lock that went elsewhere this board would be full.

Even if he "eliminated" UM he's still coming on an official, kids had like ten different top# groups. Doubt he comes to UM but doubt it's over

  • So I guess Kaley gets moved to receiver? shrug

I mean, with all those o-linemen, and whiffs on playmakers, eventually they're gonna have to move Kaley to receiver and Dawson to running back.

  • Man, not good if you're a blue fan. Eli Woodard, Cam Burrows, and Gareon Conley are going to lock your receivers down. Making it easier for Bosa, Spence, etc. to get to your QB. Not that they needed any help getting pressure.

BTW, we actually did stop recruiting Derrick Green this summer. We told him not even to visit.

LOL... Burrows couldn't come close to locking down York in the summer despite the disparity in ranking. And Conley might not even play CB, kid is infatuated with playing on offense.

Also didn't Jaron Dukes, a middling 3* have a field day on him?

We took 5 last year. The OL is just fine. Now if we don't take at least 4 next year, then ill be worried. We have great lineman, just not great depth. Baldwin, Farris, Underwood, Brown, Boren, Decker, Dodson, Boren, Elflien, O'Connor, Gardner, Lisle. Those guys will all have been in the program for more than a year when we actually need them.

Ive heard this rumor start on your board before, but yet haven't seen the film or any highlights to prove it. If you watched any Trotwood games this year, they don't even throw at Cam.

I thought he got something like 170 Yards and 2 TDs against Cam Burrows?

Think that was last season though.

  • http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/sports/2011/11/26/comeback-falls-short.html yeah that kid did have a good game. But it also doesn't mean he was going against Cam Burrows every play. Cam also had an 80 yard pick 6.

Similar to how you're not worried about your OL situation, I'm not that worried about Michigan's WR situation. I want Michigan to sign an elite WR (who wouldn't?), but I'm also not going to discount guys who are 3/low four star star players, simply because they are 3/low 4 star players.

I will say that it is annoying that right now Michigan's biggest threat at receiver might be our TE, Funchess.

Lockdown based on what? Recruiting rankings?

I recall Doran Grant being ranked awfully high and a can't miss prospect. How many receivers has he locked down thus far?

Ratings don't mean all that much.

York must not have done that great considering he didn't get put on this top performer list, or an invite to the opening. Cam on the other hand, got both...

Its hard for Doran Grant to lock down anything when he was playing behind 2 all b10 corners. And in Dorans only start this year he had a great game (Sophomore cornerback Doran Grant posted a career-high five tackles. He had his first career sack, forced fumble and interception) . But he also did have a bad game against Indiana. And if ratings don't mean that much, why are you guys always bragging about having a better class?

There is a reason Michigan is loading up on OL; they simply don't have the scholarship numbers there that they, or any reasonable coaching staff, would like.

Prior to Michigan taking 4 OL last year, they have 1 OL on the roster from the '10 class and 2 OL from the '11 class. If Lewan leaves early, there will be only 1 OL from the '09 class left. That makes 8 scholarship lineman on the roster before the '13 kids show up. Most coaching staffs want to carry 13-15 scholarship lineman on their roster. Hoke is simply getting the numbers where they belong.

I'm not bragging and I only speak for myself.

My opinion is Conley is a good pickup for OSU because tall corners are hard to come by and it keeps him away from Michigan. However, there are plenty of talented kids out there that Michigan will be alright.
