Trent Richardson vs. Doug Martin

  • Which one is better now? And which one will have a better career? shrug

    Doug and Doug, no doubt

  • Doug is having the better year. Biggest difference between the teams is 2 elite Wr's that can spread the field and a far more superior QB at Tampa Bay.

    Simply the best

  • Not elite receivers but far better than any Cleveland has.

  • Id love to see Trent in TB with a coach commited to running the ball and better overall talent around. TR still got over 100 this week with not a lot of help around him

  • Martin reminds me so much of Rice.

Richardson's health would worry me in the long run. But he could easily be better than Martin if he got out of Cleveland and stayed healthy.

  • It's not even close Doug Martin is better.

  • Trent is still better

People love to forget football is a team sport when discussing these things

Its also a what have you done for me lately world

Next week Trent could rush for 220 and Martin could fumble 3 times and then everybody is picking Trent

Plus Trent is the bigger name so people want to troll Bama fans

If I had a choice between the 2, Im taking Trent

If I had to pick one, I think I'd still pick Richardson. His health just worries me.

Richardson is still putting up pretty good stats on a terrible team and while fighting through injuries all year.

Yeah he will probably start falling apart

I read somewhere he is around the 230 mark

    That is too heavy

  • martin and its not even close

T-rich plays for cleveland so he might as well be playing with 1 arm tied behind his back and another leg chopped off at the knee.

if richardson was on a team like baltimore, pittsburgh, or houston we might have a discussion but he will get held back by his team having to play from behind alot. plus is there anyone on the browns offense that will scare an opponent? Tampa has vincent jackson and mike williams to stretch the defense and make it tough to load the box. cleveland has.............greg little to drop passes. enough said

TB & Cleveland had back-to-back 1st round picks... Bucs aren't exactly world beaters.

The difference has been Doug Martin. There really is no discussion here.

In the NFL its easy to go from say 5-11 to a winning record the next year

There are so many injuries and roster changes each year that year to year teams make drastic improvements rather easily if the chips fall in your favor

You can't really play that card in the NFL iyam

  • Trent is probably in the worst situation in the league for a RB and is still putting up good stats. Martin's having a good year, TR is the better player.

I'd love to see what guys like TR and McCoy would do at a place like Houston.

Finally, an intelligent non ignorant and thoughtful response.

How exactly does that support your Martin vs. TR argument? lmbo.

because richardson wont get the chance to shine. that offense sucks and all the pressure will be on him for the first half and then cleveland gets behind and stops running the ball. its not that richardson isnt a good player, its that his team sucks ass. he wont get the chances to show off his skills on that team

The question wasn't who will put up the better stats.

    stop being a homer.

martin most likely will have a better career. hes on a better team which will allow him to put up better stats. better stats usually equate to a better career. ergo martin will have a better career

obviously injuries and all can change this but right now it looks like martin is on the path to a more impressive career. could it change? sure. but im going off what ive seen thus far.

by the way thanks for mark barron. the kids a monster on the back end of our defense

I like Richardson a lot... but Martin will go down as the best RB in this class after Lamar Miller.
