  • Actually I agree with RATT. I was completely against drafting a RB before 15 but with the new rookie cap it is a why not. You don't have to give them a huge bonus or a long contract. If this was two years ago there would be no way TR would be picked before 10. When you barely have to pay him you can pick guys that may not last very early.

What was AP's 40 time? He's still a better blocker, had less injury problems in college, and is a better catcher out of the backfield. If you want to call AP unreal and TR good because of .3 tenths of a second (maybe) in a 40 then I call that ridiculous.

.3 would be a huge difference...but AP, although faster than Trent, is only about .1 faster. AP is one of the best out there. Though I think Trent may be as good of a PROSPECT, Im not ready to compare him to one of the best in the game right now. Trent is tailor made for the NFL though.

That's not really true....see DMac, Ronnie Brown, Cadillac, etc. If a RB was truly elite, they were still drafted high.

Oh he'll have to prove it for sure. I still think it's stupid to say that AP was an unreal prospect and TR only a good prospect when you look at their college careers coming in. How can ScarletnCream call AP an unreal prospect and not say that TR is only going to be good?

TR is stronger, as fast or close to it while being heavier, a better blocker, less injury prone coming in, a better catcher and so on. It doesn't make sense to me.

Those RB's were WAY before the new CBA and had wild ass signing bonuses along with 5-6 year guaranteed contracts. You don't have that anymore. If the new CBA wasn't in place I would wonder about taking a RB third overall. With the new one, I'm going to pick the best player I can for my team needs without blinking an eye. Your forgetting that Cam made 30 million dollars less than Bradford did and the guaranteed money is only three years and not 6.

I never said he was an unreal prospect. I said he is a better NFL back. Even with the injuries.

None...just saying NFL teams showed they would draft elite talents at RB high even before the rookie cap.

No, I agree with you 100%. Trent has all the attributes to be an NFL stud for years.

  • Trent is good, but comparing him to Adrian Peterson is silly in my opinion. Adrian Peterson is just on another level. Trent doesn't have AP's quicks or flat out speed. Adrian Peterson is a 6'1, 220 pound BURNER. Trent has good enough speed, but he doesn't have that kind of speed that Peterson has.

Trent ran a high 4.3 and low 4.4 40 and is stronger than Peterson and that isn't even close. He blocks better, can take contact better, catch the ball better and so on coming out of college. He'll have to prove it but he's just as good a prospect if not better than AP was coming out of college. I would also love to see the agility number comparison between the two's combines.

BS. Trent ran a high 4.3 and low 4.4 when and where? Not buying that.

Sorry man, I know Trent is your guy, but give it a rest. Adrian Peterson is 6'1, 220 and strong as an ox and faster than every RB in the NFL save for maybe Jamaal Charles and Chris Johnson.

When Trent runs for 296 yards in an NFL game as a rookie like AP did, get back to me.

Brown might just be the overall greatest athlete to ever live but he never had to play against competition like the NFL has today from top to bottom. He wouldn't have done what he did in the sixties if he played in today's game.

Bo Jackson may have never been tackled in the 60's and i doubt he ever hit a 475 ft blast vs MLB pitching either .

I'm not saying that at all. I think that if you compare the two coming out of college that it's not fair to say that AP was unreal and Trent was not just as good of a prospect, coming out of college.

Trent is going to have to prove it but the two numbers at combines and college production makes it stupid to automatically assume that Trent is going to be an average RB while AP is unreal. I'm saying that a team has every reason to think that TR has the potential to be just as good.

I don't agree at all with Trent being average, I don't think he will make the impact Adrian did in his first year but that doesn't mean he won't still be a stud and a really good player. I think Trent will get a lot of touches this year to prove he's worth a 3rd round pick, especially with the injury situation in Cleveland throughout the season. He will be relied upon early so I'd say we will know what kind of player he will be halfway through the season.

I respect Brown's opinion but I disagree. But I don't think he will be the league's next AP.

Worth a 3rd Round pick? That has to be a typo. It wasn't you that I was responding to either. It was scarletncream that said TR would be no better than Ingram in the NFL. He said that TR would be good to average while AP is unreal. I said that it was very premature to say that based on the two coming out of college.

TR will have to prove what he will be but he has skills that Ingram never did.
