I have no doubt Tee Martin is a great recruiter but it's not exactly difficult convincing kids to go to USC.

They were getting elite kids long before Martin ever got there.

I think I remember a quote from Lane Kiffin where he said something to that extent. USC kind of recruits itself.

That's not to say that other schools don't have a lot to offer, but being in Southern California is a huge draw (enough of one to get me out of Southeastern PA) because of its easy access to just about everything you could ask for (surfing, skiing, shopping, museums, Hollywood, etc.). USC has a winning tradition and constantly puts guys in the league. The academics are great, and there are gaggles of beautiful women.

The area surrounding campus is really improving and the new athletic facilities, which have been a major negative recruiting tool for other coaches, are going to be incredible. It's impossible NOT to at least get a kid interested (unless he wanted to bRuin his life.)

Its about time someone passed us, this has been an unusually bad summer for us even if we never do get a lot of committs during it. I think we'll finish strong during the season though and end up #1
