I also expect Bracy to share KR duties on ST with Karlos.

And re MEJ, *starting* either doesn't really apply of just doesn't matter when it comes to FSU's DL b/c there's so much rotation going on. I expect MEJ to get into the rotation; Casher is less likely although possible.

And like DL, Pender definitely won't start but I expect him to get *some* (but not many) touches... esp. since he was an EE.

Yeah, DE will be really interesting this and next year to say the least. You may disagree, many Noles do, but I have Werner as definitely gone after this year.

Assuming that, we have a Big 3 this year and next year we start over with Edwards, Casher and Newberry.

So we want to play those three guys as much as possible this year.

  • very possible that Shaq Roland could break into the starting WR rotation a few games into the season

  • I'd say Johnathan Gray could be the "starter" by the middle of the season. I also think Malcom Brown (DT edition) could push for a starting spot

Jon Bullard too. Their could potentially be a lot more Humphries, Dunker, Poole, Thompson, and Taylor all could potentially start sometime during the season.

4 star RB, JC Coleman, is likely going to be the #2 back. RS freshman, Michael Holmes, will be #1. We will have 3 other true freshmen in the mix for pt at RB. We have 3 RB's from 2010 and 2011 now in the NFL, but have completely reloaded.

And the St. Germain kid if his KOs are as good as they were in high school.

A lot of our fans act like Shaq Roland is disabled though because his shoulder pops out from time to time and doctors advised him not to have surgery.

Tracy howard and Duke Johnson will probably be starting by midseason for us.

Tracy will be starting by opening day.

I think you could add one of the WRs coming in as a possibility. Malcolm Lewis or Lockhart. Probably Lewis.

Also, depending on how Jelani Hamiltons knee is, he could start by mid season. Our DE depth is scary thin.

  • Arik Armstead and Evan Baylis

Both were hear for spring ball and both looked impressive. Coach Osbourne (TE/ST) was quoted saying that he'd never had a TE recruit pick it up so quickly as Baylis, and this is a guy who has experience getting TEs into the NFL. There's plenty of playing time at TE behind Lyerla, and Baylis should end up playing in 2 TE sets. Also playing time at SDE.

He should have been ranked higher, IMO. One of my favorite recruits the past few years.

umm Amari Cooper will start at Bama at WR..or does that not qualify as TRUE FR since he was an early enrolly?

I just looked over Cooper. Either him or Williams will probably be the starters along side Jones and Bell.

    You are right.

. We don't have the numbers we'd like on the OL (coach says he wants 16-18, we have 13) but we're not so thin that we have to depend on true freshmen OL's to start. That would be a disaster in the SEC. DJ looked great in the spring for a true freshmen, but he's got a ways to go weight wise. He's only 275-280. Tackle is actually a strong point for UF this year with Green, Patchan, Nixon. It would be much more likely to have a true freshmen guard starting, than an OT.

Only true freshmen starter from day one for UF this year is Latroy Pittman in a three wide set imo. He was just too good during the spring not to play. Muschamp gushed about him every chance he got. He, Debose, and Dunbar in a three wide

One of Bullard or Fowler will have a chance to produce ALOT with Powell out. One of those two could get in there and start. Tons of others will get good PT and experience. Brian Poole could be the nickel back, which we run 75 percent of the time anyways.

  • Davonte Neal might eventually start at slot. Sheldon Day will get a lot of playing time.

  • K - Nick St. Germain. It would be nice to redshirt him but truthfully I don't give a damn who kicks as long as it splits the uprights.
WR - Shaq Roland - The kid is too good to not play. No one has locked down a WR spot...not even Ace. If his shoulder holds up, I see him starting by game 4.

I don't foresee any other true freshman getting to start unless someone gets injured.

A few true frosh might contribute for MSU, but the only ones who have a shot at starting are these guys:

    WR Kyle Kerrick (early enrollee)
WR Aaron Burbridge (if he qualifies academically)
    WR Monty Madaris
WR MacGarrett Kings (are you seeing a pattern here? We really need WRs to step up.)

Long snapper Taybor Pepper (last year's LS was great, but he left the program to go closer to home. His backup, who filled in for the Outback Bowl, looked a little shakey).

You may want to look at AU's long snapper depth if you're in need. They recruit that position like no other.

Ready to move on at RB already? Wasn't MB the top RB in the country? Ever think it's your coaches or scheme? Your team sucks and you have your pick of players year after year. Throwing the newest players in there won't make it better. Teaching your line not to play like vaginas and open a hole may help. Also developing a QB and not giving out schollies to all your players younger brothers that should be at SMU wouldn't hurt either. Just my $.02.

LoL at a BAMA fan trashing someones QBs or offense for that matter. Johnathan Gray,Malcolm Brown or Joe Bergeron would start over any current Alabama RB. As far as defense goes,Texas has more productive defensive players in the NFL than bama does. Saban Effect=Overrated. Just my $.02.

Awesome. Try winning a few games then buddy. You have great talent at RB with no results. Now you have a great QB and defense too. 2 BCS titles in 3 years. How's UT's record looking since the overrated Saban beat you in Pasadena with apparently far inferior players? Don't be a dumbass man. My point is you have the 5 stars bro. Now time for a coaching staff.

    Your $.02 ain't worth sh*t.

Jonathan Gray will play from day one. He'll "start" maybe later in the season, but he will immediately become a part of a three-RB committee. Bergeron, Brown, and Gray. They'll all play, and they'll be running behind a much improved line. And before you mouth off ignorantly about one of them transferring or leaving, this is what they all want. They all want to share the rock and become an integral part of what will become Texas' resurgence.

Mock Jonathan Gray now. Question Malcolm Brown and Joe Bergeron if you must. But do come back in a handful of months and admit you're just an ignorant hater.

Both lines will improve, and both sides of the offense. If special teams isn't a complete meltdown, things might get interesting next season.
