I appreciate the informative post. Some of your fellow Longhorn fans can take lessons from you. I hope you guys get back to where you should be fighting it out with Oklahoma for a title run. It's more fun that way for all college football fans. USC/Oregon, Texas/Ok, Bama/LSU/Florida, Oh St/Mich. These are the teams we need to be good. Take care.

As an outsider, your post was pure homer speculation. Texas has hugely underachieved the past 2 years, but he's an uninformed idiot for suggesting they might not miraculously be an elite team this year? The Longhorns have as much talent as anybody, now shut up and win.

As an outsider, your post is just as off-base as his.
Texas hugely underachieved two years ago: 5-7. There's no debating that.
Mack Brown rebuilt practically his entire staff. New coordinators and new systems were put into place last year and we went 8-5 during a rebuilding year with a bowl win. For as bas as it got in 2010, that's improvement. And for a team that had lost their top three running backs to injuries midway through the season, I wouldn't say that Texas "hugely underacheived" last season. For all things considered (extremely young team, injuries, true-frosh QB half the time), we did pretty well and have carried some positive momentum into the off-season.
He's an uninformed idiot because he's plainly stating that we suck and that Mack needs to go and that we aren't back on track and poised for success. He is not saying Texas won't be elite, he's just hating. If he did say we won't be "elite" I might agree with him. The QB position will go a long way in determined if this team can become "elite" or not, and that remains to be seen.
Now, just shut up. Unless of course, you bring something to the table other than, "blah, blah, blah Texas sucks."
So please, tell me more about my team than I apparently know. Or, just spare me the homer observations I've already bloviated on this thread, and bring the real stuff. Educate me as to how last season Texas "hugely underachieved". I'll wait.

Michigan:
LB Joe Bolden - Early Enrollee. Played with the ones throughout spring ball. Reminds me of AJ Hawk. (Even has the hair flow)
S - Jarrod Wilson - EE. He has a chance. I would love for him to RS though. Ball-hawking safety. Impressed during spring ball.
DT Ondre Pipkins - Absolute monster. Michigan is pretty thin at DT, so he will be expected to play a good amount of playing time his first year
OG - Kyle Kalis - I expect him to get some PT, but I think the O-line will be fine without him if everyone stays healthy
TE/WR - Devin Funchess - Probably the closest physically of all the freshman to play college ball. Definitely see him getting some playing timemichagain
