I appreciate the informative post. Some of your fellow Longhorn fans can take lessons from you. I hope you guys get back to where you should be fighting it out with Oklahoma for a title run. It's more fun that way for all college football fans. USC/Oregon, Texas/Ok, Bama/LSU/Florida, Oh St/Mich. These are the teams we need to be good. Take care.

Don't you mean to say you wish you knew what you were talking about before you mouthed off ignorantly? None of the Longhorn posters on this thread have done so. You have. Admit it and move on, ignorant hater.

I'm not sure any of those guys will start, maybe theus. They will all play though.

Dawson could also be in the rotation, especially early in the season

nono At the rate of our suspensions and smoke tests, we may have to start all the true freshmen.

As an outsider, your post was pure homer speculation. Texas has hugely underachieved the past 2 years, but he's an uninformed idiot for suggesting they might not miraculously be an elite team this year? The Longhorns have as much talent as anybody, now shut up and win.

As an outsider, your post is just as off-base as his.

Texas hugely underachieved two years ago: 5-7. There's no debating that.

Mack Brown rebuilt practically his entire staff. New coordinators and new systems were put into place last year and we went 8-5 during a rebuilding year with a bowl win. For as bas as it got in 2010, that's improvement. And for a team that had lost their top three running backs to injuries midway through the season, I wouldn't say that Texas "hugely underacheived" last season. For all things considered (extremely young team, injuries, true-frosh QB half the time), we did pretty well and have carried some positive momentum into the off-season.

He's an uninformed idiot because he's plainly stating that we suck and that Mack needs to go and that we aren't back on track and poised for success. He is not saying Texas won't be elite, he's just hating. If he did say we won't be "elite" I might agree with him. The QB position will go a long way in determined if this team can become "elite" or not, and that remains to be seen.

Now, just shut up. Unless of course, you bring something to the table other than, "blah, blah, blah Texas sucks."

So please, tell me more about my team than I apparently know. Or, just spare me the homer observations I've already bloviated on this thread, and bring the real stuff. Educate me as to how last season Texas "hugely underachieved". I'll wait.

You should just change your name to Longhorn Homer or UT Speculator.

TJ Yeldon and Amari Cooper will start at least some of the season.

Yeldon,Cooper,Williams and / or Collins are talented enough but 1st they must crack the 2 deep . the odds on fav would have to be ...

Adam Griffith at this point .

I live in Texas and my wife went to dental school at UT; I'm a hater because I'll wait for the season before I proclaim the Longhorns are a different team than the crap they've put on the field the last 2yrs?

Ignorant hater because I called out Mack and your soft O-line play and said you've under achieved. I thought you were just a homer until I read the crap you put in the BBQ thread. I've changed my opinion on you. You're just a douche. The other longhorn poster brought real information to base his opinion off of. I respect that. You brought blind homerism and hatred. You get the top players every year so we know talent isn't the issue. Hmmm.. It can't be Mack Brown. I guess "the man" is just out to bring down the great UT. It would take the wheels falling off to repeat that 5 win season. Big difference between 8 wins and 11 or 12 though. After your teams better poster informed me of the change in type of lineman and scheme, it appears you're on the right track there. Your QB is still a huge question mark as is your teams ability to compete with OU right now. If posters like you would shut their mouths and let the fans with people skills do the talking, maybe people would give your struggling team the benefit of the doubt. Instead you spew hatred and douchery while embarrassing the rest of the UT fans.

  • Michigan:

LB Joe Bolden - Early Enrollee. Played with the ones throughout spring ball. Reminds me of AJ Hawk. (Even has the hair flow)
S - Jarrod Wilson - EE. He has a chance. I would love for him to RS though. Ball-hawking safety. Impressed during spring ball.
DT Ondre Pipkins - Absolute monster. Michigan is pretty thin at DT, so he will be expected to play a good amount of playing time his first year
OG - Kyle Kalis - I expect him to get some PT, but I think the O-line will be fine without him if everyone stays healthy
TE/WR - Devin Funchess - Probably the closest physically of all the freshman to play college ball. Definitely see him getting some playing time

  • Ruh Roh, this thread suggests I was extremely realistic about all our freshmen. A certain poster will lose his cool in 5....4....3...2....

Cason Beattie is arguably the disappointment of our season in some ways. A punter should be able to punt whether he's a Fr or not. Him hitting linedrive 35 yarders is breaking my heart lol. We need to recruit 1-2 preferred walk ons at Punter.

Funchess without a doubt has made the biggest impact of this group. He is going to be an absolute beast for us the next few years

Funchess is a special talent. Looking forward to his development in this offense.

Michigan's lone starting freshman has been Norfleet on KRs.
