Hey. Even the B1G beat more winning AQ teams that the Big12.

The ACC beat the same number as the Big12 which is about what I expected.

The Big 12 was right up there with SEC this year in terms of top to bottom strength.

Uh, no they weren't. They have two good teams, Kansas State and OU.

He said top to bottom. The bottom of the SEC is absolutely dreadful, and the reason Alabama and Georgia ended up in the conference championship game. The SEC knows what its doing when they are making the schedule. Two teams from both divisions will always avoid the top teams from the other division. Its genius. They will instead play the bottom teams. Teams like Kentucky, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Miss St., Vandy... This almost guarantees an undefeated team at the end of the season. SEC is the best at the top, no question. That said, I would have rather WVU played Bama's schedule this year instead of the one we played. The 9 game conference schedule round robin is a grind. It also resulted in a top 20 SOS. Bama's schedule was right around 35 or 36. Georgia's was 41.

As a fan, I hate it. I would love to watch the top SEC teams actually play each other. Makes for good football. Instead, they have an 8 game conference schedule, and play just over 50% of their conference.

No, you need to go check the top ten. Six of our fourteen teams are ranked in the top ten, how many are from the big xii?

I know right. I wish Bama would play LSU, UGA, TAMU. I wish UF would play UGA, SC, LSU, TAMU. I wish SC would play UGA, UF, LSU.

These pansie top SEC teams, if only we could get them to play each other........... Alas, we they always end up playing Kentucky and Vandy every week somehow. shrug

This year? Do they avoid them next year? Nope.

Guess what, next year my team (SC) avoids TAMU, Bama and LSU. My guess is you won't be bitching about the SEC protecting SC next year, since that argument only works against the blue bloods. We go in cycles, every 5/6 years you get a favorable cross-division schedule. Thats life.

The fact is both divisions have 3 good teams in them, so nobody avoided anything.

Ya'll are retarded.... Tech just won the lottery! Tommy Tubberville effing sucks. Now they will steal atm's O coord. and get back to running an explosive offense.

Yea, you know, since Tech only had the #2 passing offense, #12 total offense and #16 scoring O in the country.

But yea, offense is clearly the problem in Lubbock.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

Would have been nice if they would have proved it against at least one decent OOC team.

He said Texas Tech had a tough schedule. He doesn't see how the Big12 computer rankings are manufactured by playing no one OOC.

Even with the manipulation, TT only played 3 teams that are in the BCS top 25. Alabama played 3 in the top 10.

I believe the entire Big12 played 6 AQ schools OOC this season.

Haha pot calling the kettle black! Still can't wrap my head around the idea of cheering for a conference, why do you care what the rest of your conference does? I hope EVERY team in EVERY conference loses, besides MY team. In the NFL, I cheer for Dallas but I don't "toot" the NFC East horn when my team sucks and the Giants win the Super Bowl. Why does this theory only work in college football? Some people are just ignorant.

You may not agree with it, but why exactly would one be ignorant for doing so?

I would say you are ignorant for not seeing the difference in college and the NFL. No team gets any advantage in the NFL because of their division. It all has to do with their records and a true playoff scenario. In college, teams from the conference that is considered the best are going to be the one-loss team that is chosen over those from other conferences.

There is a perfectly good reason for someone to want teams in their conference to do well. Some do and some don't, but doing so is anything but ignorant.
