Nebraska has Field Turf.

Its a no-brainer for us because we use the field a ton already between some practices, lacrosse games and other stuff and combined with the weather it looks like absolute trash most of the time. The turf should allow us to have more events, some big high school games have been mentioned, which will be nice.

Oh and our turf most likely won't be green so you boring tradionalists will get to be enraged and laugh at Maryland again this year!

Hate all turf including field turf. Natural grass is the best way to go. Maybe not cost wise but I wish everyone played on grass.

i keep seeing this on here, but how is it none of you have any idea what it's going to look like? before eastern washington and central arkansas installed their fields, they had released artist renderings. how is this such a big secret?

not sure how you can get too crazy when you have men's and women's lacrosse in byrd also.

if your stadium gets used for high school games, it makes a lot of sense.

of course, that was the argument for texas going to turf a couple of years back and i think they have played all of two games there since - and both were at the beginning of the season when it's dry. total waste of a gorgeous grass field.

fair enough. as a casual terp fan, i'm looking forward to seeing it. don't really have a huge problem w/ the different colors - although central arkansas looks stupid - should have done all gray w/ purple yard lines/hash marks/numbers or something.
