The only reason LSU is a top 7 team is because of rep, because they are not a top 10 team this year.

So let me ask you this question. Do you think that LSU would be a top 10 team right now if you played in another conference?

Both teams were overrated to open the year.

I'll agree with you bama loss but UF has looked underwhelming all year. I don't knock their record but they've sucked against bad opposition. I can't say you've lost against 2 legitiment top 10 teams.

That's the problem with perception.

SEC teams barely beat crap opponents and get a pass. Beat an SEC team and its a Superbowl win.

You guys and uf shut down aandm, la tech plays them close but we they beat bama they are a great team and bama drops 3 places.

Losing to NCST sucked but it happened.

Exactly, USC has sucked, but after seeing several mediocre LSU performances this year especially this lastest 1 against an Ole Miss team that was demolished at home by Texas, (Texas up 59-24 at the beginning of the 4th quarter vs Ole Miss) if they played 3 times I could see USC beating LSU 2 of 3. Neither team is all that good.

Ya I know, it's just LSU has barely beaten some really bad teams. Auburn, Ole Miss, and struggled with a 4 loss D1aa team Towson St.

USC's 24-14 win vs Washington might not have looked impressive on paper. However, USC and LSU both were thoroughly dismantling the Huskies in the 3rd Quarter when the refs blew calls in each game.

A phantom holding call on USC that called back a TD and a 31-7 lead for USC and an early whistle denying UW a defensive TD on a pass that was a lateral that would have made it 30-10 LSU.
Plus UW is much better at home than on the road.

I see USC and LSU pretty much even, and that's saying something cuz SC isn't that good.

Even with a new DC it may be a painful couple of years. We are getting the horses on the DLine as needed. They need time to be great though.

Don't worry.. USC will be back soon enough.. You guys get way to much talent to stay down for too long. Sanctions set you guys back but the cub bard will be full again soon... I do think Kiffen needs to leave with his Dad.. They don't deserve to be at such a great football school that USC is known for.

How are your recruits handling this? What's the feeling on your board as far as keeping LFK?

It really comes down to two things. Penalties and turnovers.

16 turnovers the last four games. Lost the TO battle all four games and we are 1-3 in that stretch.

Also, we can't tackle. Anyone. And since ND plays spread, your QB will convert most 3rd and long plays. Even if it's 3rd and 20+.

If ND isn't favored by at least 10, something is wrong.
