I agree. I don't like taking pleasure in kids doing stupid stuff like this, but if that statement is true, it is a perfect example of why UGA has had some of these issues over the years. He suspends him for game 1 and 3 against nobdies, but is letting him play in the Mizzou game.
To a kid that obviously has a troubled past, this is telling him that the coach does not run this program, the players do.
Having said that, I am not sure if that was an accurate quote that WRobbins posted and the justice system may dictate a slightly stiffer penalty as well.

i wouldnt put it past them. carver football and columbus high baseball rule the city. i mean, if you show any talent in baseball at a young age you're immediately fast-tracked to columbus high school, regardless of grades etc... the majority of the police are from the area and probably graduated from one of those schools...it's all messed up.

Of course anything is possible, but I consider your response a little naive. I lived in Columbus for 32 years, played BB at Columbus High School and was a Police Officer there for ten years and those statement are simply not accurate. CHS and Carver are both magnet schools so student can choose to go there. CHS has an outstanding BB coach and program so a student who plays BB and wants to go to the next level will go there. the CPD has right at 400 sworn officers. About half of them are former soldiers from all over the country. Granted "discretion" can be used and manipulated, but I have seen Chiefs of Police, Congressmen, Judges, high ranking Military Officials, college and professional athletes, and HS studs arrested. A lit biggrr fish than Crowell for sure. So I just find the scenario you present as a skewed paradigm. No offense, but I am talki g from personal experience and not supposition and speculation.
