Nice call.
N has been down for a couple years but it is traditionally a very solid baseball school.
If any of you come to Lincoln, check out the baseball stadium. Absolutely impeccable. Nebraska might have the best overall facilities in the nation once the basketball faculties are complete. They are all top tier facilities.

your a fool if you think a great southern school like unc would want to be in a damn yankee conference like the big 10. they would want to play in a conference like the sec. a conference that wins national championships and would get to play against their southern brothers.

Here is the Final 2012 NCAA Baseball Average Attendance Report from the NCBWA. LSU 10,736 Arkansas 7,924 South Carolina 7,574 Ole Miss 7,471 Texas 6,337 Mississippi State 6,131 Florida State 4,583 Clemson 4,405 Texas A&M 4,369 Creighton 4,268 TCU 4,112 Florida 3,935 Nebraska 3,760 Alabama 3,458 Rice 3,455 Southern Miss 3,424 Hawaii 3,340 Baylor 3,255 Virginia 3,208 Wichita State 3,013 Texas Tech 2,853 Arizona State 2,834 Auburn 2,794 Tulane 2,699 East Carolina 2,685 Arizona 2,628 Miami, Fla. 2,512 Vanderbilt 2,412 Oregon 2,128 Stanford 2,121 Louisiana-Lafayette 2,078 Georgia 2,050 Kentucky 1,950 Tennessee 1,911 Oregon State 1,846 Cal State Fullerton 1,730 Fresno State 1,641 New Mexico 1,618 Louisiana-Monroe 1,604 Georgia Tech 1,586 North Carolina 1,483 UCF 1,476 NC State 1,464 Louisville 1,436 South Alabama 1,414 Long Beach State 1,391 Georgia Southern 1,298 Texas State 1,287 Troy 1,204
35 of the top 50 in attendance are from the SEC, ACC, Sun Belt, SoCon, CUSA or Texas. The only program from the Big Ten is Nebraska.
The rest of the Big Ten outside of Michigan and Ohio State every few years are basically the equivalent of club teams and the support is too. So it would be a pretty big change for Carolina's baseball program.

Yes LSU lost to Stony Brook. Even with that, 3/8 teams in the CWS were from the SEC and for the first time since 2008 someone from outside the SEC won the CWS. Not to mention since 2008 there has been at least 1 SEC team in the CWS Finals every season.
2008 - UGA vs Fresno St 2009 - LSU vs Texas 2010 - South Carolina vs UCLA 2011 - South Carolina vs Florida 2012 - South Carolina vs Arizona
Man, what a terrible baseball league. Just as overrated as SEC football right?

Lol @ the jingoism ITT from some of the Southerners.
It's pretty self-evident the push for some of these ACC schools is to make the B1G the premier conference from an overall standpoint. Bbucks is right. You get a large conference of great research institutions that are well-rounded in what seems all the major championship sports except gymnastics and some of the individual sports. It's impressive. Delany is owning titties right now.
I'd say the SEC is being short-sighted by focusing solely on football, but I don't think any of the presidents care about academics, research money and being well-rounded athletically outside of a few schools like UF, Arkansas and some others.

Did I ever say SEC football is overrated? Ummm NO....But LSU has 6 Nattys to South Carolinas to 2 and Michigan has 2, dont call yourself the baseball power conference when the PAC-12 owns college baseball. UNC and UVA have as many baseball national championships and appearances as Northern Colorado it wouldnt make a difference if they played in the big ten.
