I think what happens is that a lot of people confuse or even associate atheism with Satanism, just because of the term's negative correlation with the church. I feel like the term "atheist" is pretty foreign to a lot of people, which is what leads to some serious ignorance. That's just sorta how I feel about it, at least.

Yeah, I kinda thought that too. They sorta took the result and ran with it. Still though, it's a frightening figure.

This study seems incredibly flawed.

"The study, conducted among 350 Americans adults and 420 Canadian college students, asked participants to decide if a fictional driver damaged a parked car and left the scene, then found a wallet and took the money, was the driver more likely to be a teacher, an atheist teacher, or a rapist teacher?"

I'm going out on a limb and say there are more atheists out there then rapists, so statistically wouldn't it be more likely to be an atheist?
