    That's pretty damn strong lineup... We may have a better one though but it's close.

    Tejada and Pena are huge holes. Nothing like that exists in the American lineup, 1-9 is solid as hell.

    Now on the pitching front is where it is not even close. Dickey got his tits lit tonight, but when you have a knuck guy throwing in March that is going to happen. Outside of that,

    Tejada is 38 and a shell of who he once was. He's pretty mediocre now.

    Meh. He has 20 years of experience playing at a very high level. Yes he may be aging but he still takes very professional at-bats.

    He wasn't good last year... very average the previous year before that. I just don't see him as anything other than a liability.

    Ignorant implies I don't know baseball. I'd put tejada away right now with no labrum, and I've put Pena away plenty of times in St. lucie. Watch him fish breaking ball any time he gets behind in a count.

    DR is the #1 ranked baseball team in the world. Vogelsong is the 4th best American pitcher on his pro baseball team. No mulligan needed. Nobody is saying USA baseball isn't the best.. I'm saying this team isn't.

    the amount of stud players who turned it down is pretty sad in general, not just pitching.

    Link? This isn't CFB, rankings mean a big pile of doo doo baby.

    Vogelsong is an all-star, and you can't name a single guy on the DR staff that is better. This team on paper is substantially better than any other in this tournament.

    I'm on my phone. World baseball rankings should be easy to google. Lol @ calling him an all star like he is Matt Cain. He made one appearance which was heavily scrutinized bc his manager selected him & placed him there, not the voters. I could name 15 better American starters than him off the top of my head.
