USC Implosion Timeline

Hey, we beat a top 25 team and a BCS bowl team this year. USC cannot claim the same can they? We also had more wins with only 67scholarship players and one less game to do it in. shrug

We aren't allowed to talk about Penn State for 4 years.

I guess BOB should give back those coach of the year trophies, eh? I had no idea that they could give those to programs that we "aren't allowed to talk about".

But none of that matters... you didn't dispute what I said because there is no disputing it. USC stank.

i thought ramsey decomitted on 2/6(signing day)

Not according to his profile on this site. Also I believe Ramsey committed to FSU the day prior to NSD.

After PSu lost to the Ohio Bobcats and Virginia, it was obvious that the only reason the Nittany Ligers
had a winning season was because they played other awful teams in the awful Big Ten.

USC just fired Ty Isaac's primary recruiter, offensive coordinator/RB coach Kennedy Polamalu.

So you are saying that losses mean more than wins? Is that right?

Yes losing to a MAC team and the 10th place ACC team is much worse than losing to the 3rd place ACC team.

Are you really trying argue that it isn't?

The difference is, they actually beat teams that were worth a damn. After going through a mass exodus of players that included their best offensive weapon , who played for you this year.

You guys are a mess. Get your act together then come back and talk.

It flip flops based on what SEC team you are and which argument gets you in the BCS title game. In 2011 it did, but in 2012 it didn't.

See Alabama 2011 ( LSU was a better loss and trumps Ok State who had more Quality wins)

See Alabama 2012 ( Alabama had more quality wins and that trumps Oregon, who was undefeated in regulation and had the better loss).

Which teams were worth a damn, Wisconsin? You mean the team with the same amount of losses as USC. Let's face it, the only B10 team that would have finished ahead of USC if they were in the Pac12 last year, is maybe Ohio St.

Top 25 NW and Rose Bowl Wisky. They weren't great, but were better than any win USC had (easily)

in reality Bama was simply a better team than both.

    w/ a four team scenario...
in 2011 Okie Lite would have had their trousers pushed in.
in 2012 atleast Oregon may have made it out of Rnd1.

as for a USC implosion ? highly unlikely with their recruiting base.

Based on the fact that Ucla beat Nebraska, Oregon St and Stanford beat Wisconsin, Cal nearly beat Ohio St at the horseshoe and then got annihilated in Pac 12 play. Also, SC gave Stanford the same game 21-14 / 20-14 that Wisconsin did but SC played @ Stanford.

I could see Ohio St finishing just ahead of Washington for 7th in the Pac12 last year and Michigan and Penn St battling Arizona St for 8th.

Well, they don't have the best record in games between winning AQ teams in the BCS era for nothing, including 10-6 vs the SEC.

This past year though, I would put them as the #2 conference behind the SEC.

If you make a decision on where to go to school based on a position coach you are an idiot.

The funny thing with you is that USC lost to UCLA and Stanford, didn't play Oregon St. and Cal lost to OSU. Your examples are crap.
