USC is capable of signing a top 10 recruiting class this year

Tosh Lupoi is a great coach and recruiter, but Ed O is one of the best DL coaches ever. I don't think anyone is killing Ed O at recruiting. I'm not worried about any of your commitment predictions. These kids will pick what's best for them and USC will always be grabbing 4 and 5 stars no matter what. I do think predicting Armstead to ND is irresponsible considering: He's committed to USC, his brother plays at USC, and he's from California.

agree with you that i think Armstead ends up at USC but i do think that several of these top recruits that USC normally gets are now considering other options due to the sanctions

2. He did work wonders last year. Townsend, Heyward, Woods, Wilson, and Burks is a damn good dline class. You don't know that all 3 of those guys are going to Cal. I would be willing to bet that Shittu and McCarthy don't end up at the same school.
3. Cal's out recruiting us. They have 2 people signed, we have 10. We have a lot of the top talent in california already. I wouldn't be surprised if they signed a great class, but at this point, they aren't out-recruiting us.

That's common sense, but people have been saying that during our last two top five recruiting classes. USC is USC and the staff has done a great job considering the sanctions. We will see in february, but so far, I'm feeling pretty damn good.

1. Call me when he isn't committed to USC anymore.
2. Barr did not have an offer from USC. We offered Jalil after he committed to Cal, and Moala is from Northern California, so that isn't a shock. Heyward, Woods, and Dillion all had offers from Cal. I can't tell if Townsend did because Cal wasn't one of his top schools, but considering that he was arguably one of the top 5 DE's in the country, I would assume that he did. Burks could play FB, sam, or DE. He isn't going to beat out Soma at FB for a few years anyway. As a college football fan, you should realize that positions aren't set in stone for incoming freshman. Woods and Townsend not qualifying is a rumor started by you.
3. USC isn't in a great position to sign any of the 5 and 4 star linemen in california? Hahahaha. Your lack of confidence in USC is shocking for a "fan". You really think that USC could do anything to damage their brand as a college football power? We own our conference, always have, always will, and the top kids from the west will always flock to USC. Go back to the Domer board.
