Underrated prospects

  • Who are some underrated prospects from your area?

For me it's Kennedy Tulimasealii, 6'2" 300 lb DT from Waianae, Oahu. Kid plays in the same league as Scott Pagano, but their production isn't close. He is much better than Pagano by any measure, but is a two star.

Apparently the kid has some SAT score issues, without them I don't see how he could be anything less than a high 4*. I saw Te'o play HS ball out here, and he didn't make the impact Tulimasealii does.

    Alonzo Harris

  • From Alabama:

WR/ATH De-Runnya Wilson- Basketball player who just started playing football this year. He is as raw as they come but his 6'6" 215 frame could be deadly when added to his athleticism. If he has the attitude to play defense, he could be an amazing pass rusher. Of course, he may end up never playing a down if his heart isn't in football.

RB/DB Jonathan Ford- A RB commit for Vandy, but if he moves to DB he could be very talented.

WR De'Andre Woods- WR commit for Vandy who is a very physical and big WR. He had a big drop in the Hoover game last week, but was almost impossible to cover.

WR/S Chequan Burkett- Big kid who can run. As long as he plays DB I think he will be a huge steal.

  • I think Virginia Tech CB commit Cequan Jefferson could be one. Very quick athlete.

  • Brendan Mahon.

Devin Wilson is a kid that I think is rated correctly on 247, but has so few offers. Kid is a player and I wish PSU had room for him.

Haven't followed him lately myself, but I know MSU fans have said that QB Damion Terry had a huge senior year.

Who was guarding De'Andre in that game? Marlon?

SMH if we take Marquez White as a WR and don't take a chance at a kid like DeRunnya. Our WR core is plenty deep enough to take a chance on an athlete like that IMHO. I know spots are tight, but I'm with you in that as long as we sign Tunsil nothing else really matters. Our class is dirty enough as it is.

  • Josh Boutte... He has a decent rating but he should be higher than a lot of OL that are in front of him, for sure. Dudes a manimal.

Hayden Rettig but 247 just bumped his ranking up so thank you, Staff.. Kid deserved it and it's nice to get a solid QB from Cali for once.

Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.

  • Channing Stribling

    Ducksworth

  • adam lane being a 3 star

Lane finished his senior season with 205 carriers for 1,624 yards (7.9 yards per rush) and 12 touchdowns, and those numbers would have been even bigger had he not sat out the second half of most games.

No, most of the time it was Devon Earl (South Alabama commit) on Woods (Vandy commit). Marlon covered Brian Clark a lot and actually got beat for a couple of big plays in that game. But he had man coverage and the QB put the ball right on the money on the back shoulder. Most of the time they won't throw his way so the coaches put him on an island. He didn't get safety help so they could use it for Earl on Woods. Earl is actually a pretty good player he just went up against one of the best WR's in the state that night.
