Sadly I know all too well, I live in VA
I used to hate the Hokies for years, mainly cause FSU stunk and VT was the new kid on the block
But now Ryan Williams and Holland Fisher helped me heal, and then UVA fans started dominating TBB with blasphemy
Funny fan base no doubt, Im really enjoying how they think they are close to VT in terms of taking over the state despite losing what ? 11 straight now...... and the loss this year even though VT had its worst season in years, and considering how they lost, was just too phunny to deal with

Kamara prob Uva unless Uva struggles. Brown, Uva same as above. Likes Unc and Bama with VT in the mix. Hand Likes Vt but I have a feeling he goes out of state. Blanding Uva Same as Brown/Kamara. I doubt committs to Fsu in March. Fsu is in the mix. I see Blanding committing to Uva in August. Holmes I think is Vt's to lose. Moss either in state school.

Hokie, this is just my opinion....Kamara, Blanding and Brown are all very close and tight with guys already here. They all grew up together and are great freinds. All these guys respect London and Chip West and they want to help him build something special special here. It is no differnt when you guys were getting most of the kids from there and the Richmond area and the Northern Va area. You had the pipeline from Centreville and other schools. Are we overtaking VT? Not at all but there is enough talent to go to both schools. Pal, we have a long ways to go. Groh left this place in a mess and that is putting it lightly.

Nova LOL you really make me laugh. I was talking about The top players in the state. Virginia is not loaded like Florida every year or Texas for that matter. VT has won most in the last 10-15 years however there is a new sherriff in town now and he did beat FSu in Tallahassee last year so what does that say about your program? Beamer and staff should do better since they have been around muuuuuuuuuch longer thahn London. Oh, I am marking March down on my calender also for QB's announcement to you guys. Again, I am not saying he is going to to committ to Va but I like Va's chances a littel better than you do.

It says that it was a trap game sandwiched between UF and Miami ( FSU's 2 biggest rivalry games ) and you barely won, in fact you shouldn't have.... If Hopkins just makes that damn FG FSU escapes despite clearly looking ahead to UF.... a game FSU won where you went into the VT game totally spent from giving it your all against FSU you choked away a possible ACC title birth in embarrassing fashion 38-0 in front of your own fans
... so clearly that one point victory that the football gods handed you... literally wore your team out
FSU played incredibly bad that night, oh well though... winning 14 out of 17 against UVA all time ain't too shabby
What does that say about UVA ? Ill say again, you have beaten FSU 3 times in 17 tries, 2 of those times coming on the final play of the game
As for Quin Blanding he has made it well known he plans to decide early in 2013 and get it over with
Im well aware UVA fans feel they have a chance, that doesn't shock me and makes it more fun for his commitment to FSU will give me some money trolling ammo for this board
Kid would be a damn fool to pick UVA, picking UVA over FSU in football is just ridiculous for so many reasons

True you guys did play very bad that night and Va should not have won. That win for Va was probably a bad sign for London because most fans, unlike me, expected 9 wins this year and I thought we would be lucky to win 6I am not embarassed about losing the game to tech, it broght the fans back down to earth. I knew we would struggle to make it a game against vt.
So, tell me.....what makes you so confident QB is going to pick FSU? Heck EJ even said if London was the coach when he was deciding he would have picked VA. Maybe Blanding wants a great education, hang out with most of his close buddies and get to see his family quite a bit along with helping build Va back to where they were under GW. Can FSU match that criteria? FSU is a great program but NOT where it used to be. To much parity now. Plus, Jimbo is NO BB and you know it and if Jimbo does not win 10 this year and next year who is going to coach you guys?

please show me this so called quote from EJ, I have never heard that one before
EJ picked FSU for Jimbo and Jimbo alone, not sure why he would have liked London better than a guy notorious for sending QB's to the NFL... and clearly he made the right choice for EJ is on his way to the NFL, likely as a early rounder after the Senior Bowl MVP... the second Senior Bowl MVP that Jimbo has had at FSU in just 6 years of coaching QB's at FSU
As for Quin, I don't think its 100% ( nothing is in recruiting ) but I have been following recruiting for a long time and feel Im very realistic about why kids pick the schools they do
Quin is obviously a fan of FSU, and so is his father.... add the fact he is clearly a top priority ( FSU needs safeties in 2014 ) and one of the FSU's best recruiters ( Odell Haggins ) handles the area of Va Beach... I just have FSU winning this one and so do many of the FSU insiders on all the major sites
Surprised to see a UVA student ( maybe you aren't though ) not know the difference between " to " and " too "
Not sure how FSU isn't what it used to be, back then all they were was a national title contender and they are pretty much that again for FSU was in the top 15 all year and despite a 2nd half meltdown against NC State they were in prime position for a run at a BCS title birth
They are also back in terms of being kings of the ACC again ( both on the field and in recruiting ) and being an NFL factory each and every season, so where is the difference between now and then ? if there is so much parity these days why is Bama in the midst of a dynasty ? Dynasties are still very much a possibility my friend and FSU could easily be in the beginning stages of a nice run at national prominence again, if you understood how talented the roster is you would be well aware of this
Lolz at the idea he wants to get a great education ( you don't know his true motives, you are simply guessing at that one ) I would bet you money he cares more about going to the NFL for most kids do ( especially 5 star top 10 players nationally )
A degree is a degree... UVA's is better on paper but its up to the individual to bring success to his life, I know I could be just as successful with a UVA degree or an FSU one
As for Jimbo being no Bobby Bowden ? how the hell do you know that when Jimbo is only 3 years into his career ? its beyond unfair to compare a legend to a man in year 4 of his HC career but do you brother, you just sound like an idiot on that front.. you do realize it took Bowden a long time before FSU started winning 10 games a year right ? certainly much longer than Jimbo took
Its obvious you don't really have a clue in terms of what FSU football is all about and where they are headed in the future, Im comfortable with where things are and Im far from a homer fan.... if you don't believe that, just ask around

LOL well you wanted to compare London to Beamer so I thought fair is fair. I thought comparing Jimbo to BB was ok. I will try to imrove my spelling LOL And yes, FSU has a great deal of talent and will always gets top talent and you should contend each year and should win plenty of acc titles. I do not know what fsu is all about and do not care to be franklly honest with you. I meant to say EJ made a comment that he would have given Va a longer look had London been the coach. EJ made a great choice, I am not denying that. You do not think Blanding is a TOP priority fir Va? He wants to help recruit talent to the school he selects and Va is in desperate need of safeties. I remeber back in the 90's FSU was in the top 5 every year and now top 15 is acceptable for Fsu? LOL now that is funny! LOL If the roster is sooooo talented then why cant you beat the NC states of the world. Va did spank them pretty bad in the woldpacks den. LOL

1- UVA sucks, and he clearly knows that
2- at FSU he has already seen a player form his HS go to FSU and make the league
3- FSU has way cooler uniforms, no contest
4- His coaching will be on a much higher level, as well as the competition he will face everyday in practice
5- He will come in and both starting positions will likely be up for grabs, at least 1 will be for sure
6- The weather is about a million times better, as well as the women walking around campus
7- won't have to deal with preppy rich white boys all over place wearing 4 polos at the same time with each collar popped
8- He won't have to worry about his head coach getting fired for going 4-8 on the season
9- FSU just had a mass exodus of coaches so he will likely have the same coaches for a good portion of his career at FSU, which is rare no matter where you go in todays college football landscape
10- FSU is flat out the better program, its not even close and certainly isn't gonna change in the next 4-6 years.. Either he picks the ACC best overall program at the moment, or one of its worst
