VT Guys, Hosley and Wilson

  • Well my Giants got 2 VT guys, and I only saw 2 or so VT games this year. Can someone give me the rundown on these two? Thanks.

  • Holsey is awesome and should be

Can also return the ball really well

Wilson has all the talent in the world and is a great kid but he fumbles all the time

  • I loved the Hosley pick, wasn't to fond of Wilson in the 1st. Fumbling and pass protection seem to be his weaknesses?? Going from Jacobs to him in pass protection is scary.

  • Coughlin cured Tiki's fumbling problem, hopefully he can do the same here.

Yeah Wilson scares me cause when guys have his kind of talent but don't put it all together there is something wrong

But Holsey is gonna be a stud, not the most physical kid and that will get worse in the NFL cause of his lack of weight but in the pass happy NFL he is a true weapon both on defense and in the return game

Wilson can be a great KR at worst as well if RB doesn't work out right away

Wilson to me is a CJ Spiller but worse

If he does you got yourself a first round worthy RB

Kid ran for 1700 last year, didn't play a single good defense though and fumbled 7 times

In the highlights I watched, he bounced it outside a ton. Not sure that will work in the NFL. Our Oline is horrible at run-blocking too. There's a reason they were last in the NFL in rushing.

I'm pretty sure in the Sugar Bowl he had a fumble.

??? What's the G-men reference? I'm from Ahmad Bradshaw's hometown of Bluefield Va, where he played for the G-men.

I'll try and give you the cliff notes. You may be able to google Hosley on ESPN Sports Science. Too drunk and tired to do it myself. From that show, Hosley has an absurdly quick reaction time, and unsually long wing span, for someone of his height.

Wilson is a pure frekkin athletic beast. All American in football, and All American in the triple jump. 41 inch vertical and 11 foot broad jump. 990 yards rushing after contact in 2011, which was first in the NCAA. 1709 rushing in 2011. Homerun threat with great quickness and speed, and the knock was he lacked vision, and fumbled too much. Well, you get 990 yards afer contact, and you gonna get whacked, and are more prone to fumble. Heard some comments about pass blocking, and I'll say bullshit X1000. If you play rb at VT, your ass is damn sure going to learn how to pass block.

On the very positive side is balance. Wilson's balance is superhuman. He is the only player I have ever seen that compares to Barry Sanders as far as balance, You want to get happy with the pick, google David Wilson Ultimate highlights. You will shit when you see it. The dude don't smoke, drink, cuss, and wore a shirt and tie to class everyday in college. You couldn't ask for a better player or better person. You gonna love this guy, I promise you.

You cant be serious with that

  • The Wilson pickup was a good one, imo, with the potential to be a homerun.

They essentially are switching out Jacobs for Bradshaw, and Wilson for the homerun threat (Bradshaw). They were pathetic in rushing last yr.

The combo, on paper, is much more explosive than the previous combo of Jacobs+Bradshaw.

If Wilson hangs onto the ball, the Giants will be plenty good in all 3 phases very soon, with Holsey's addition.

No shit dude. Ahmad is from my hometown of Bluefield Virginia, population around 5,500, and played high school football for the Graham G-men. I kid you not.

No I'm saying you can't be serious asking what the G-Men reference is.

I think worse on ST but better at RB. He is the equivalent to CJ though.

Yeah I guess I agree with that

    In college certainly

Dude, he played for the G-men in high school. I have tailgated with other people on this board who were G-men in high school. Maybe a crazy question from your perspective, but not from mine.

And this is when Hokies go homer

but Im with you for the most part..... in that Wilson is an athletic freak but you Hokies need to get off the nuts on the whole " wears a suit to class " stuff and how dare you compare him to Barry Sanders, Wilson is something else but Barry Sanders he is not.... just stop it, you said you were drunk but still.... come on

And personally, this is JMO but I thought Ryan Williams was better and while he was at VT he kept Wilson on the bench, its a damn shame he got hurt for the Cardinals this year for I really like Ryan Williams.... isn't the freak athlete like Wilson but is a much better football player/RB imho

That being said if Wilson cures his fumble issues he should be a pro bowl RB

As a VT and a Cowboys fan, I'm going to apply the same rule that I do to Mike Vick and Darryl Tapp on the EAGLES:

Cheer for them except when they are NOT playing the Cowboys biggrin

Dude, seriously. READING COMPRHENSION. Good lord, read and try to understand to some extent before you go full retard. I've watched football 40 years, and Barry sanders had the most ungodly balance of any running back I've ever seen. David Wilson is the closest I have ever seen to be comparable to sander's balance. That was my entire comparison between Wilson and sanders, balance.

Now if you know me better than I know me, and I've really seen lots of guys with comparable balance to barry, and am just making shit up now, please, by all means out me to 247 and the entire world.

lulz I was just saying don't compare him to Barry, it was a joking manner but either way I agreed with most of what you said

Comparing David Wilson to Barry Sanders in any way shape or form is homer as hell, that is all..... you can say you meant it this way or that way but either way it sounds retarded

David Wilson has good balance, but its not what Barry had

Correct me with facts ? what facts ? his meaningless stats against terrible competition ? the fact you have watched football for 40 years and gush like a true pedo over what a 21 year old kid wears to class ? the fact that in your opinion he is the closest thing you have seen to Barry.... is that a fact now ? cause your eyes represent the entire planet on this issue of comparing a NFL rookie to arguably the GOAT at said position ? what or where are these facts you speak of ?
