No, twice. Last replay showed that. Bottom tip of the ball hit the ground before he possessed and landed on the ground, where the top/side of the ball then hit the ground again.

Virginia Tech WR Danny Coale was originally ruled to have scored a touchdown in overtime vs. Michigan in the Sugar Bowl, but after further review the pass was ruled incomplete.

It's one of those that can really go either way. Could have been over turned, could have stayed. Really up to the refs if they felt it was conclusive evidence or not.

Shouldn't have been reversed that's for sure. But the ref shouldn't have called that a TD either. He fell victim to the hype of the catch, in real time he looked way OB, ref just got excited called it TD.
The call should have stood, but it wasn't a catch IMO.

Yeah realtime I thought noway he stayed in bounds and once I saw the replay I saw glimpses of SportsCenter top 10.

At the end of the day VT choked. They easily should have won the game, they made enough critical errors to not win.

Agreed. Seriously who fake punts on 4th and 1 against a team who had 145 yards of offense. I thought Beamer was a good coach and always had the element of breaking a game open with Special Teams. After tonight my view of Beamer has definitely changed.

That one was a reallllll head scratcher. I always have figured if you're gonna fake a punt just line up your offense. You have a 6' 6'' QB. Just have him fall forward. Much better chance with that than the punter out running people.

Exactly. I don't know if it was a designed fake or the Punter tried to make a play himself.
