Manzeil has made a great case as a freshman, if he keeps progressing the kid could be unstoppable.

    Right now...
    Cam
    RGIII
    Manziel
    Vick
    Young

I'd throw Kaepernick in there, and might take him first.

  • I think it's way too early to judge. Also, I think you need to throw out NFL results. I'm assuming we're talking about one college season. I think RG3 will turn out to be the best pro of the group, but I don't think he had the ability to COMPLETELY carry a team the way some of the others did. Cam had a horrendous defense and still didnt lose a game. Johnny manziel is just a RS freshman, so I'm not sure, but my guess is he won't have too many more 3 int games like he did against LSU. VY could be an underrated pick here. I think he was better than Cam (though few will agree with me). VY put up far better numbers in the championship against a USC defense that was far superior to the one Cam faced.

After kind of thinking it through as I typed, I think I have to go with VY for one college season.

  • RG3, still breaks my heart that he wanted to play QB for LSU and they said no. 4 years with him as QB, easily 2 more natties

  • I will take vick, because he pretty much signal handily gave our defense a hard time in the 99 championship game. Vince young would be next for what he did against USC in the title game.

Rgiii is by far the best passer and Vince young was just superman when he got on the field. Can't go wrong with any but griffin is probably the answer

    LOL

    Cam.

  • It's between RGIII and Cam for me. Probably leaning an little more towards RGIII as time goes by, but Cam did win big his one season on the college level and with what Auburn has done without him, doesn't make me 100% confident that Cam had any better talent at Auburn than RGIII did at Baylor. One thing is for sure, RGIII has much better WRs than Cam did at Auburn.

RGIII still had some bad games in college as well.

OK, I talked myself back into going with Cam at the moment. RGIII has the better head on his shoulders for the NFL though.

And life, you will never catch RG3 stealing laptops

And if he did he would develop such a master plan that getting caught would be impossible

Probably a 5 to 6 win VT team without Vick. While there weren't recruiting rankings then, doubt that in the 4 years leading up to 99 VT would have averaged in the top 50.

Come on dude you cannot be that big of a homer, because what if the Skins drafted Luck and the colts went with RG3 like some analysts were predicting before the draft. Also Vick pretty much carried that Hokie team on his back, but just met a team that was not going to let him and the Hokies win. Also that Hokie team would beat RG3s Baylor team.

Auburn was 8-5 the year before Cam. Baylor hadn't seen an 8 win season in decades.

What they did previous doesn't mean the talent level during the that time was the same.

In the last 2 seasons, Baylor has had 9 players drafted to the NFL compared to 5 for Auburn (not to mention 4 1st round picks from Baylor compared to just 1 from Auburn). Look at the offensive talent that Baylor has/had at the skill positions and compare that to what Auburn has/had.

Cam is the only skill player drafted from Auburn while Baylor had 4 skill players from offense alone.
