I thought he was given special power by the other members of the ncaa for this one case? If that's the case I don't see what psu can do. This makes all the other members look bad if they don't do something to punish a member that covered up child rap. If psu doesnt agree with the rest of the ncca they can join the naia.

If you knew who Trippony is, you will find this interesting to say the lease. Mark Emmert was the person who hired her at UConn and who she reported to. Now, 14 years later, Mark Emmert will be dropping the hammer on the program that Vicky Trippony has an ax to grind with.
Tin hat stuff? Yeah, probably. But I know that bitch is in on this. I know it.

I saw that when I started looking into the claims about Triponey being made by Penn Staters and found the second paragraph very telling:
"In the interest of providing historical context, the document is presented here in its original published form, offering a look back to a period of time when a group of Penn Staters organized opposition to an insular administrative culture that elevated power and secrecy over transparency and open discourse.
Administrative culture that elevated power and secrecy....
What were many of us saying throughout this? Triponey may have been a problem and she may have control issues, but she has absolutely nothing to do with any of this. If anything, she was trying to get a handle on some of what encouraged this to happen. The lack of transparency wasn't her problem, it was a Penn State problem. Joe Paterno didn't like Vicky Triponey so loyal Penn Staters will have a problem with her even if she was only trying to make the school better only because of that and not because her behavior actually warranted all the hate.

But she has absolutely NOTHING to do with this crap. The culture at Penn State promoted Joe Paterno's ability to hide Sandusky, not Vicky Triponey.
And if you get right down to it, you guys didn't get hammered nearly as hard as you should have. So if Vicky Triponey has anything to do with this, you might want to thank her because apparently that axe you claim she has is dull.

This is honestly just an embarrassing thread.

Vicky Tripponey and Mark Emmert = pals
