    I read an article where it was described as Battlefield in space. Naturally that caught my attention.

    Also the way it ties in with Eve Online I am very intrigued.

    Don't know what EVE Online is. Its sounding like it will be a little bit like MAG. Not the terrible graphics, bad gameplay, or any of the other terrible qualities of MAG. The faction selection like MAG is what I'm talking about.

    I saw them mention battling for your faction, and how the battlefield can change, and objectives change, and the ever changing landscape can also change something with EVE Online?

    It really does sound interesting. I was watching a video and it looked like Conquest they were playing. I saw about 4 diamonds. Some blue, some red. I'm guessing those were capture points?

    Was also paying attention to the weapons. Are they more like Battlefield or more like Halo? Definitely more like Battlefield. Actually, there is nothing Halo about this game besides it taking place on another planet. The weapons have some kick to them, the maps are huge, vehicle/infantry objective gameplay.....

    I had a college roommate one year that played Eve ... but I still don't really know what it's about. It was too nerdy for me ... and that's saying something.

    We need names. First and last names. I was thinking maybe sitcom TV dads. Dibs on Al Bundy.

    In this scenario I almost always use names from Psych, dibs on Methuselah Honeysuckle.

  • Wow, I'm watching a 45 minute video from the devs talking about the game. Skill trees that force you to choose a path, and you can't specialize in everything because of these skill trees. Specialize in one role(and be very good at that role) or choosing to be well rounded and be decent at just about everything. Things like that.

    They are going more in-depth than I have ever seen on a console shooter.

  • Here is the article about when you start up the game. Pick 1 of 4 races, create a name(will not use your PSN name at all, as it is supposed to connect with the EVE universe), select what role you want your character to be, ect....

    No sitcom dads? OK, no Al Bundy. I'm gonna have to think here..
