I borrowed it from a friend and could not get into it. The game just feels dated at this point.

The game play hasn't really changed and the visuals were not great at all.

I only played an hour before giving up but that is what I took away from it.

I rented it and had similar thoughts. The few changes they made to this version made it not feel like an RE title in any respect, and they tried to do so much they didn't focus on a single aspect of the game enough to make it great or give it an identity. Also, you can just melee your way through the game. My younger brother and his roommate made it through Leon's story entirely before they gave it up, and they shot significantly fewer enemies than they just beat to death.

Heard Resident Evil wasn't good at all. Did you like it?

I like it. The new controls are better than previous games but still a little dated but it is to be expect in Resident Evil games. It is just something you have to try. While I really like the game I can see why some do not.

  • Anyone gotten to play around with a Wii U yet? I heard they have the set up at Best Buys. I know a lot of people don't like Nintendo or the Wii, but I don't think I'll ever be able to stop being a fan. It's not at the top of the list as far as new consoles go for me, but I might buy one down the road.

And Greg Miller is a PlayStation fanboy so if he didn't like it that is not good.

Dead Space kind of ruined RE for me.

They took the RE formula and improved it in.every way.

  • Its not getting terrible reviews. IGN is the only place to give it less than a 7 from what have seen. All of the other places have ranged from 7 to 9. Someone mentioned IGN very recently getting an app on Xbox live, so i will be interested in seeing their scores for all Sony games. 5 is a joke. IGN was already the least credible. Now they are just bottom of the barrel bad.

Greg Miller is the one reviewer that I trust on IGN. If he doesn't like I probably won't either.

I didnt plan on getting it anyway. Way to much to play as it is.

    I am loving Forza Horizon.

How does it compare to Forza 3? Same game but on open roads or did they dumb down the gear head stuff?

I agree Greg Miller is an admitted Sony fan boy and one of the best members at IGN. Just because it has bad reviews does not mean you can't enjoy the game though. Let me know your thoughts on it Marine. I may pick it up later but Forza has me busy as far as racers go for the moment. It has actually been a decent year for Xbox being Playstation kicked its ass big time last year.

Same driving mechanics just in an open world with more arcade type things to do. I think it is great. My favorite racer this generation.

There aren't as many cars as Forza 4 but there is still a huge level of customization.

Xbox might actually have more good exclusives than PS3 for the first time in a long time. Sony really hasn't had anything big this year. They have alot next year though.

  • This pretty much confirms what we already expected about Watch Dogs.

Rumors of BF4 being on both current and next gen have been all over the place too.

  • Short but interesting article on annualized releases and rushing games to meet deadlines.

Maybe AC III could have lived up to the hype if it had more time. Still a good game but not as great as I expected.

IMO it has totally lived up to the hype.

Plus, how can it be rushed? It's been in development since, what was it, Brotherhood?

With the amount of glitches and poor mission design it has plenty of faults.

Like I said it is a good game but it could have been much more. I don't think this game will be looked at like RDR and other big open world games.
