Not sure if anybody has seen this announcement yet, but the next AC game will have totally new setting, hero, and team according to IGN.

I finally got around to finishing AC3, but yeah, didn't see it as being a huge leap. It was actually a chore for me to finish after they made me start playing as Connor instead of Haytham, just got boring after the first few hours for me. I will be surprised if there is a "huge leap" in the series at this point.

Wasn't Brazil rumored to be the next setting? I know they went there in AC3 but I feel like I saw this somewhere.

Well AC1 and AC2 were pretty different so it had people thinking that AC3 was going to be very different than AC2 (clearly it wasn't). I think this speaks to the difficult balance job that series must do between bringing in something new and exciting and loosing your identity as a series and falling off because of that. You don't want to alienate your base that loved the earlier games, but at the same time you want to offer something new that'll enhance the experience. It's a difficult thing to do.

I highly disagree.. Both games were the same, repetitive crap. There's nothing different in the gameplay.. You do the same thing in both games the entire game.

AC series is so overrated in my opinion.

I find the AC series overrated as well. I bought ACIII because of the time period and lead character, and I was disappointed. Never understood why they incorporated the stupid future story with the flashbacks through the animus. Just make it a period piece and call it a day.

If the new consoles are not significant boost in power than it is highly doubtful I buy one. These games are starting to look pretty dated compared to PC.

I had Xbox for 6 years during this generation. I doubt I even buy the new Xbox. If you are a halo or gears of war fan, I would say its worth it. I am not. I just love Forza. I switched to PS3 and loved just about all the exclusives I played. God of War and MLB the Show is worth it alone for me.

Xbox Live being pay to play is beyond stupid. PC, Sony, and Nintendo do it right. Its free to play online. I do pay for PS+ but its worth it because of all the extra stuff you get at either a discounted price or completely free.

PC and PS4 will be my choices. Ill give the Steambox a look but undecided there.

This is effing great news. I really hope it is a launch title. I said I would never stand in line for a console launch again. I might have to eat those words.

They didn't last generation. Unless they have more than enough (which is highly doubtful) it will be first come, first serve.

Prepare to be disappointed.. Maybe it's just me, but my character is so powerful at the point when I downloaded dragonborn that I can't even be challenged. I blew through the entire thing in a few hours. Some of the new things you get are cool, but I didn't feel the desire to go after any of the new equipment because I already had pretty much the best set-up you can think of.
