Video Game Thread: Retired

  • The game im looking forward to the most is probably arkham city. I loved arkham asylum and from what ive read they have improved on their last effort. More counters, moves, gadgets, strategies, and environments. I think i will enjoy the city environment more than the confines of arkham asylum. One of the producers says its a lot darker than the first one too.

    Arkham City is going to be awesome. Batman is easily my favorite comic character. I will definitely be picking it up day one. This is the most packed year of games that I have ever seen. Even with ME3 being pushed back there will still be plenty to play at the end of the year. S

    Skyrim is easily my most anticipated followed my LA Noire, BF3, and Uncharted 3. Skyrim will be the one I play until my console fries though.

    I love the fantasy genre but ive never played any of the elder scrolls. What kind of gameplay is it? I played the demo to DragonAge2 and wasnt that big of a fan..is it similar to that?

    Not really. The new is going through a complete over haul so I am not sure what to expect. It is a lot more deep and robust than DA. If you have never played I would suggest picking up Oblivion:Game of the Year Edition. It is a little older now but still amazing. Skyrim looks ten times better so I am super excited.

    There is no comparison between the Elder Scrolls series and DA. I enjoyed the first DA immensely (the 2nd not so much) but it doesn't hold a candle to Morrowind on the XBOX. Still the best game I have ever played.

    It is probably a good idea to just rent it. It is not that long and once you beat it there isn't much to do.

    I have never played a Fallout game. Would New Vegas be a good purchase for me? Or should I go with Mafia 2?

    I'd start with Fallout 3. You can probably buy it used for dirt cheap and it's a great game.

  • What does everyone expect from the "new" NCAA Football 12 game this year? I for one am excited about the improvements to Zone coverage. The game needs to be balanced out IMO. It is too much of an offense oriented game

    Probably around 50 or 60 for both on average but if you want you could spend up to 100 hours on Fallout 3. I'm not sure about New Vegas cause I haven't played it yet.

    I expect it to have a couple nice additions and changes to make it slightly better than last year, but still frustrating as hell at times. I'll buy it, as always, but I'm not expecting to ever be blown away by any NCAA game.

    Agreed. They are not going to knock your socks off or anything but i enjoy the games none the less. I would really enjoy it if they would make Road To Glory improvements...which could use a lot

    They need to improve a lot in online dynasty as well. Speaking of which, we'll have to get a blue board dynasty going with a full 12 teams. Would be a lot of fun.

    I would totally do it, but I am way to busy lately especially with my daughter on the way, so you guys just saved your selves the horror of losing to Denard.

  • I had an online dynasty with a bunch of my friends, I ended up with Michigan. Denard ended his career with almost 7000 rec yards. Including a year with 3000ish. 3 Bilitnekoffs and a heisman. Pretty nice career.
