    That is sort of dissapointing, from the previews this game had a chance to have an extremely entertaining story line. From this review it seems they really didn't deliver in that part.

    But im still going to buy this game, still looks like a blast.

    Also a friend said he'd bring over Dark Souls later so I'll get to try that out too.

    I don't think so. I read a thing online that said it isn't a sequel. At least I think I read something along those lines.

    That is correct. It is made by the same company so it is more of a spiritual successor rather than a sequel. Similar to Bioshock and System Shock.

    I'm going to wait a few days on either. I picked up dead island last week and I actually like it. I'll probably pick up dark souls over rage tho since RPGs are my favorite.

    The story in demon souls really wasn't great. It wasn't a game that contained a lot of cut scenes and deep story telling. The game was brutally hard at first until you beat the first boss... then you could basically level in the fourth world like candy and pumble the rest of the bosses.

    That one may have to wait for me since so many are coming out. My son might want it so I might have to hurry up on some other games and trade them in so I pick the bulk of what's coming out till 11/11.

  • Not impressed with Dark Souls so far..just got so frustrated I had to turn it off. Maybe it just isnt my style. The locking system on enemies is flawed to where you can lock onto one, but there are 5 surrounding you. So basically you get your ass kicked and have to start all over again. Everytime you die you have to do the whole damn level over again. I'll try it again later tonight..maybe i'll have more patience regarding it then. But my thoughts as of now is that it's getting traded in for Arkham City.

    That's exactly how demon souls was. It's designed to be hard to the point you get frustrated. Not sure how dark souls is set up, but I started with the royal class in demon souls. It had a spell you could use from the start so you could flank, run, and hit from a distant so I wouldn't get surrounded. They should also have some type of hunter class to begin with to so you could basically do the same thing with a bow and arrow. The right stick should allow you move quickly from each targeted enemy that you're locked on.
