Will GameStop have a midnight release of Skyrim?

All depends on your Gamestop I believe.

I believe Walmart does midnight releases as well and they are never busy at night (I should know, I work nights).

I just called mine and they said they are 99% sure they will have a midnight release. But you're right it varies...

Yea Meijer has them too. But I want to return Gears 3 at GameStop and I want to put it towards Skyrim.

I could care less about motion gaming. I hope it goes away entirely.

It won't. My 7 year old loves it. I think it should have stopped at Wii, but there will always be some type of market for it. It just probably won't be for the adult variety until it's full blown inception type stuff.

Gamestop accepts payments on pre-orders, just a little FYI.

I pre-ordered Madden 10 last year, and only paid around $5/week.

    Was very nice.

  • I played Dark Souls last night for a little bit. That game is brutal. I made the mistake of taking a couple of swings with my ax at some guys that just wanted to talk. BIG mistake. If you hit someone in the game that's not even an enemy they'll come at you. And keep coming at you until you either kill them or finally run away and lose them. I probably died 7 times before I said fvck it and just tried running away. I like the atmosphere though. Very bleak. I'd have to play it more to get a better grasp of everything. I'm not very familiar with JRPGs.

As for Rage, the game really is stunning visually. Some of the very best atmospheric visuals I've seen. The gameplay is not quite as good. It's just not quite as sharp compared to a lot of the fps games I play. But I am still enjoying it. Me and a buddy knocked out most of the co-op missions last night. Only got through about 5 main story missions but so far it's satisfying.

I know it does that, I have the money to put it all down. Just would like to have at least 30$ credit after dropping 100$ on game 3 Tiger's tickets. And 100$ on UM-ND.

Ok, just making sure and it was more directed to others than just you.

Lot of people don't know that (heck I didn't even till last year lol).

That game is a lot of fun, takes a long time to beat even if you only just do the main quest, it took me about 100hours to beat it with finishing two of the side campaigns as well.

Skyrim is going to be on a whole new level than Elder Scrolls, it looks ten times better with the new system of allowing g you to pretty much dual wield anything.

About to finish the main quest now. What side campaigns/missions should I attempt after completing the main quest? I was thinking of joining the thieves guild and just picking locks and selling shit to get my money up. Any experience regarding the thieves guild?

The thieves guild is pretty fun, along with doing the Arena and there's a guild where it makes you some sort of an assassin. Can't remember the name of them, but they're all fun and are about 5-10 hours a piece. Except for the Arena, that one is pretty quick.

But remember in Skyrim the monsters don't scale with you like it does in Oblivion, so early on in the game you can't just go into any area you want. You'll just get slaughtered.

How many levels can you level up? Im only like a 6 or 7 and have just about beaten the game.

I don't remember honestly, I haven't played Oblivion in a few years. Don't really remember that much.

    I am a level 30 I think but I haven't played in a long time.

Two guilds that you need to join are the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood. I finished those quests long before I finished the main story. I didn't finish the story for a long time. Unjust kept getting sidetracked.

The Arena was fun and I made a lot of money doing that.

The Dark Brotherhood is the assassins guild. You have to kill an innocent person without being spotted to be asked to join. If you do it right a message will pop up saying your deeds have been noticed or something like that. Then just go to sleep and you will be approached by Lucien Lechance in your sleep.

I just explained in my post below. I am pretty sure that is what they were called unless I am getting confused. They were the best quests in the game IMO.

cool.I'll just put off the final part of the main and start these side missions. Sound a lot better than the main quest.

  • Ok it's called the dark brotherhood. I saw a video online where the guy was level 99, may have been a mod though. I did the guilds and such before I did the main quest. Made the main quest a lot easier.

Yea, $15 a month and you can get two games (or DVDs, or Blue-ray, or a combination of any of those) at one time.

You can either trade in for a new game/dvd/etc., or get them in the mail at any time.

After getting blasted in the ass by a Gamestop trade in today I checked out Gamefly and other services. Most of the reviews I read said that new games were a pain in the ass to get. So basically reserving the games ahead of time in your que is a waste and you can wait months on your game. If you try it let me know if it's true.
