  • I watched a video where you can go shark hunting on FC3. I wish they would make a Jaws game.

  • Ubisoft has to be one of the dumbest publishers. Hearing you need a constant internet connection to play Far Cry 3 on PC. When will they learn their lesson with this crap.

  • Someone convince my why I should stop SKyrim and play Fallout 3 and NV.

I want to try those games, but only have time for one. Still haven't beaten Dawnguard either.

I wouldn't stop Skyrim to play them but if you get tired of Skyrim they are worth a try. Great games.

  • So what is everyone's thoughts on Far Cry 3 so far? I am really enjoying it. There is a lot to do and explore. The visuals are pretty good especially considering it is an open world game.

Better hurry up. It is really good.

I have hardly played the story. Just been running around hunting. Loving the recurve bow.

  • Please tell me combat gets better on Fallout 3. Just got it yesterday and played for about 2 hours. Finished tutorial and went into a school and killed some things.

6-7 shots to kill people with this little pellet gun pistol they gave me. Now that I am out of ammo I have to charge people with guns and beat them with a bat... how realistic.

Also, is it possible to screw up your character? I want to use conventional weapons that shoot bullets, explosives, and medicine, and put SPECIAL points into Strength, Endurance, and Agility....

There's no direction as to how you should allocate points based on class, so hopefully I didn't make a wrong decision.

Wasn't happy with Fallout's combat either. Just wasn't a fan for some reason. Whether play Skyrim all day long.

I know within 2 hours of play that Skyrim >>> Fallout 3, but I am hoping I get some decent enjoyment out of this game.

Skyrim is Bethesda's best game IMO.

Still really liked Fallout. Once you get some better equipment it is a little easier.

People expect them to be more similar than they are, but in reality Elder Scrolls and Fallout are apples and oranges. They're as different as like... COD and BF.

Always preferred Elder Scrolls. I gave Fallout 3 a chance, but not a big chance. I'm gonna have to give it another go sometime.

I loved Fallout 3 and Oblivion equally and for different reasons. I started Skyrim but never finished it, I will eventually.

Edit: I bought New Vegas the day it came out ... never finished it. Just never lived upto Fallout 3, IMO.

  • Far Cry 3 is pretty amazing so far. I am one stealthy guy. Just give me some rocks and a knife, and its all over for these pirates. I do find gathering the materials to improve wallets, sacks, ect... tedious, and it takes you out of your way most of the time. Not a big problem, though. The world is really alive. More alive than I have ever seen in a game. Nothing just pops up out of nowhere. I was running for the water to swim to the other side, and I saw a gator just sitting there waiting for me to get closer. Just doesn't seem like anything is predetermined in this game. Haven't done much of the main story, yet. Doing a lot of exploring, taking over camps with stealth, improving my gear... those sorts of things. Haven't had one alarm set off yet. This open world is massive. Like, Skyrim size. Haven't traveled to any of the islands yet. I did just come up on a boat at a dock. Thinking about going for a ride on the waters.

I may have to check out Far Cry 3 eventually. Really need to finish off some of my current stuff before that though.

Still waiting for anyone to man up and play Dungeon Defenders or PS All-Stars with Curgan and I. Haven't really seen anyone on to play BF3 or BL2 lately.

I have been playing Far Cry 3 the last couple of nights.

I am loving it so far. I like sneaking around and laughing when a tiger attacks the pirates. They have no chance against the tiger. Of course it is not so funny when a tiger sneaks up on me.
