Watching college football is superior to playing video games in every way. I'm not even going spend time explaining the difference.

    I am 24.

    because you can't.

I didn't say one was better than the other.. just want to hear you explanation.

I love college football (obviously) but I'm curious about this as well.

Hell, going against him sober can be just as bad.

But please tell me what you do while watching a college football game that I don't do while playing a video game?

One is college football. Drink beer all day, tailgate with your friends, interact with tangible humans, watch a football game, spend all day outside, play cornhole, grill out, maybe get laid after the game.

Then there's video games. Sit in your basement, alone, talk on your headset to Poindexter, kill a dragon, get laid with your hand.

You included many things that aren't "watching football" .. all those other things can be done in between playing video games as well.

    I prefer...

Work, eat dinner, play Battlefield and make fun of tusktider and aussie while playing, watch the Reds game, and then get laid before going to sleep. That right there is a great day.

Playing a game is more productive than watching TV, so if you watch TV you are worse than the people you are trying to belittle. Fact.

Both of those options sound pretty badass to me

  • Gaming is a good way for me to unwind after working 8hrs a day / dealing with the wife's bs. You may not think it's as cool as playing cornhole with your friends but it keeps me sane.

  • Also something to say for being able to keep in touch with your friends.

Bunch of my friends have moved to different states so being able to play video games online with them is a good way to keep in touch

  • im approaching 40 and I still play video games. Im not as good as I once was and I cant do the marathon sessions I did in my 20's, but I still love video games.

I came of age in the Hip Hop, video game golden era. I think I'll be doing both until the day I die. My college friend and I were talking about this a week ago. Why do we still listen to so much rap? When Iwas in my 20's, guys in their mid 30's had no clue who the hot rappers were. Im still very much into rap. My theory is that when I was 20 guys in their mid to late 30's hadnt really grown up playing video games or listening rap. My generation, was the portable CD player/ sega genesis, nintendo loving generation. My father might see Marvin Gaye or the temptations and remember the good old days. Well I get that same feeling from Tupac, Snoop, NWA and games like Contra, Tecmo Bowl, Resident Evil and Mortal Combat.

that is way more than "watching" a football game...

i just dont see what the issue is with enjoying an hour or so of a video game after a day at work, hit the gym, eat dinner. video game for an hour or so to end the night, then g/f, bed.

of course, if there was a football game on i would probably substitute the video game to watch the football, but if there is no sport on id rather play the game.

I'm about to do the same after December. I'm not huge on talking on the phone but give us some mic's and a video game and it's like we're all in the same room still giving each other hell

plus chatting on the phone with your boys seems kinda girlie to me. much more manly to be in a party talking ish while shooting people.

Clemson probably talks to his friends on the phone while taking a bath.

Agree and disagree. With our current POTUS, you can be on your parents insurance until you are 26.

And I think part of the problem with kids today, is that all they do is play video games. I may buy my kids a Nintendo 64 or Wii but that's about it.

Nintendo 64? Theyll be the laughing stock of the neighborhood

FTR, it doesn't bother me that you guys still play video games, just perplexes me, that's all.
