    I AM SHOCKED AND EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED BY THE NFL’S DECISION TO SUSPEND ME FOR THE 2012 SEASON. COMMISSIONER ROGER GOODELL HAS REFUSED TO SHARE ANY OF THE SUPPOSED EVIDENCE HE CLAIMS SUPPORTS THIS UNPRECEDENTED PUNISHMENT. THE REASON IS CLEAR: I NEVER PAID, OR
    INTENDED TO PAY, $10,000, OR ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY, TO ANY PLAYER FOR KNOCKING KURT WARNER, BRETT FAVRE OR ANY OTHER PLAYER, OUT OF THE 2009 DIVISIONAL PLAYOFF GAME, 2010 NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, OR ANY OTHER GAME. I NEVER SET OUT TO INTENTIONALLY HURT ANY PLAYER AND NEVER ENTICED ANY TEAMMATE TO INTENTIONALLY HURT ANOTHER PLAYER. I ALSO
    NEVER PUT ANY MONEY INTO A BOUNTY POOL OR HELPED TO CREATE A BOUNTY POOL INTENDED TO PAY OUT MONEY FOR INJURING OTHER PLAYERS. I HAVE ALWAYS CONDUCTED MYSELF IN A PROFESSIONAL AND PROUD MANNER. I INTEND TO FIGHT THIS INJUSTICE, TO DEFEND MY REPUTATION, TO STAND UP FOR MY TEAM AND MY PROFESSION, AND TO SEND A CLEAR SIGNAL TO THE COMMISSIONER THAT THE PROCESS HAS FAILED, TO THE DETRIMENT OF ME, MY TEAMMATES, THE

    Also (this is lesticals now speaking), hearing a lot of players are going to bring more lawsuits. The only reason goddell is so hell bent on player safety is bc of everyone suing the league. Did u know the NFL has the worst healthcare and retirement than any other sport? They get retirement for 5 years and then it's cut off.

  • Don't know what to believe about this whole situation. I think the Saints were probably wrong in this whole thing, and Goodell is the biggest hypocrite as the head of any pro sport.

    I'm sure there are tons of ex-teammates that supported what Goddell is saying.

    I do find it stupid that you have to appeal to the person who gave you a punishment.

    Because he fights for player safety while wanting to the players to play 2 extra games a season and won't extend their retirement health care. I would say that = fvcking hypocrite. Your also not very smart if you think "lawyers" have anything to do with the sentences or suspensions that he passes down on players.

    I'm not hating on him. I just think he's a hypocrite. I also don't expect him to care what the hell I think about him. Personally it all helps out my Falcons so fvck it. I still think he's a baffoon if he wants people to really believe that he gives a damn about the players. He cares about making the league and it's owners more money. If he would just admit it instead of pretending he actually gave a fvck I would respect him more.

    Back when this stuff first surfaced I realized that there are some people who just aren't capable of seeing that there's a line drawn in these things, and that line was crossed. Said people just repeat the mantra that every football coach since Pop Warner offered cash bonuses for play that explicitly results in specific injuries, and don't see that the Saints took what is indeed not uncommon way too far.

    I wouldn't take it that far. I guess that eventually you have to put your foot down and hammer someone to deter others from using the same practice. I'm just not so naive to think that nobody else was doing it. I think to make the Saints some kind of monsters is a bit premature considering that I feel others are guilty of the same thing. The Saints were just who they caught and maybe they figured bringing the hammer down on them would stop the practice leage round. I'm not completely against the punishments but I also don't think that the Saints are some kind of rogue monster organization.
