Virginia could possibly be this year's Ole Miss....

  • They have a great shot at Blanding, Brown and Hand. A few other great recruits in that area that might get swayed. Just noticed that. Any other odd teams looking at a potentially great class.

  • They could land a majority of the in-state kids, outside of Hand, but most likely will not. It's truly embarrassing that they can't keep that talent in state because they could have a very good team if they had an elite recruiter on their staff.

    They actually have some decent recruiters, kids are just smart around here and they know that UVA totally blows and the atmosphere there is eveb worse ( bunch of rich preppy white kids with a no fun allowed attitude )

    Chicks are terrible too, and pretty ones are few and far between

    VT would dominate them even more than they do if they weren't deep in the mountains and 4-5 hours from the DMV and Va Beach, yet they still do better year after year on and off the field

    UVA is a total joke of a football program and their fans are Cane like delusional, but with no reason to be that way

    The Canes have history at least, UVA has no history

    They're very good at recruiting consideing how bad the program is. Mike London can sell a program, can't coach anything though.

    Lots of hate..we aren't going to be Alabama ever, but we have solidified our talent and a good shot at some major 14 talent

    If the kids were actually smart, they would most likely be more inclined to attend UVa. It's one of the top schools in the nation with a high rated campus, but then again, a lot of players don't truly care about academics and want to solely major in football.

    That's fine, but it's a shame that they don't realize they most likely won't make the league and wasted their opportunity of attending a top university for free.

    Also, they may have some good recruiters, but none are elite and if they had a coaching staff that could win games and recruit a family atmosphere, which most recruits look for, then they could completely revamp that whole program in a very short time.

    They haven't been good in a very long time (ever?) and play in the ACC. It's an amazing feat they even get in the top 25. Top 10 recruiting classes usually include the same programs unless you got some shady schools like Ole Miss.

    I have not, I'm just going off what other people say about the campus.

    I don't believe it would take years if a coach like James Franklin or Pat Fitzgerald were to take the job and start winning on the field along with recruiting well.

    As it is with every sport, if you are winning, the atmosphere improves dramatically and boosters instantly become more inclined to donate, which in turn improves the facilities and causes the program to improve in a lot of aspects.
