The guy has been handed everything all his life. He needed 18 summer school units to qualify for college, 18. Miraculously he achieved it (hey the NCAA bought it) and his major at ASU was "personal discovery". I wonder if got units for fapping?
Now he's trying to make it as a pro where you are responsible for yourself. He has neither the smarts or the dedication to take care of himself let alone stay in shape and learn a NFL position.
Looks like another perfect day.

So people expected him to go undrafted? I remember seeing some mocks that had going as early as the second before the season.

The only reason he was good was because his ASU team mate told him where to line up on every single play, as soon as his team mate got injured Burfict had no idea what to do and played like crap.

EVERY mock draft on the planet had him as a 1st rounder, most as a top-15 guy before the disaster of a season and combine.

It was obvious he would be a 7th rounder or undrafted. I would have loved Bills to take him, hopefully they do with their last pick.
Ravens should draft him and Ray Lewis could mentor that kid.

They just ripped the guy to shreds on ESPN. Sad that a kid with all kinds of God-given talent pisses it away by being a jackass. Hope this is a life altering moment for him.

Because of the murder thing? Ray has turned his life around IMO, and would be a good mentor for a kid like Vontaze. An all-time great telling him to shut the hell up and smarten up would be a big thing for him.

I think a team like the Packers or Ravens would be great for him, a ton of veteran leadership that would put him in his place.

Depends how you think he'd react. Something tells me he'd be annoyed by the leadership and get cut pretty quickly.

To be fair, Burfict never got into any significant trouble off the field. He just can't handle school or control his emotions on the field or practice.

Just read Vontaze's wiki page. Dad was a gang member and in jail most of the time. Kid still was able to earn a college scholarship despite that. Good luck to him. Hopefully a team signs him as a FA.
