Waaay Too Early 2013 Recruiting Team Rankings Finish

Who do you guys have left that can buoy you guys to stay up?

Ty Isaac, Laquon Treadwell, Henry Poggi would be the big names Michigan has an excellent shot at. Some others as well.

Michigan will finish top 5, wouldn't be surprised if tOSU passed us, nor would I care. Our class is great either way.

Also Michigan will not finish this season in the top 10 in the polls, sooner Michigan fans come to realize this, the better this season will be. 2 losses is a best case scenario.

Fair enough and I agree. I think you guys are solid peg for that fifth position.

Just curious, what two losses do you think those would be?

Henry Poggi, Joe Mathis, Jason Hatcher, Kendall Fuller, Laquon Treadwell, Eldrington(sp?) Massington, Devon Allen, Sebastian Larue, Kenton Gibbs, Ty Isaac, Jordan Wilkins, Derrick Green, Leon McQuay ,and Eddie Vanderdoes are most of Michigan's remaining targets. Whether all of those players are realistic or not does not matter, they are still on Michigan's radar.

    Ty Isaac - 4* RB
    LaQuon Treadwell - 4* WR
    Henry Poggi - 4* DT
    Joe Mathis - 4* DE
    Eldridge Massington - 4* WR
    Christian Lacouture - 3* DE
    Tashawn Bower - 4* DE
    Kendall Fuller - 4* DB

Bold - As of right now Michigan is in a good position.

Michigan has around 7 spots left. I'm sure we're going to hear about guys later that we have no clue about right now.

Bama and 1 or more of Nebraska, MSU, OSU, and ND. My money would be either MSU or OSU. Although if Michigan's interior line shapes up well and they get a few bounces they could win all of these. Other than Bama of course.

Bama 1, and I won't be able to pinpoint but there are a bunch of toss up games, Michigan will lose at least 1 of them probably 2.

    @ND, @OSU, @Neb, vs MSU.

I'd lean to @tOSU, and @Neb being the most likely losses out of those 4. We could literally lose against any of those teams, or beat them. Just don't see Michigan winning 4 toss up games.

I doubt Michigan goes 3-1 during that stretch, especially when 3 of them are on the road. If Michigan gets 1 injury on either of the lines we are fvcked. 10-2 is extremely unlikely IMO.

I personally don't think Nebraska is going to be that good. And Michigan has plenty of depth at DE and OG. The positions where injuries would suck at are DT and OT. Even then I would expect the improvements elsewhere to help this.

I only feel good about the top 3. Massington stays in Big 12 country if you ask me.

Michigan has depth at WDE, but who exactly is our depth behind Craig Roh?
Heitzman, and Nate Brink? Wouldn't exactly say that is plenty.

Also OG? We are starting at walk-on, the fact Mealer and Bryant can't beat him out doesn't bode well for our depth either.

I did had y'all fourth, but I am curious: what big names are y'all in on that is left?

Bell, Harris and Luke. I don't think we get the first two but if we offer Luke and we hard sell I think we can get him. Bell and Harris like us but I can't see either of them leaving the sec country, especially Harris with his being a gator legacy. Dontre Wilson is down to us and Oregon, I think we get him. Antwuan Davis is a high 3 star now but that's because of injury, he'll be in the 247 by the end and we lead for him and he decides soon, Maurice Smith in the 247 is between us and you guys, I don't think he leaves Texas if we really want him. Vincent Taylor will be a 4 star by the end. Robbie Rhodes in the 247, we'll probably offer this spring. Torrodney Prevot in the 247, he'll be tougher being from Houston and liking A&M and LSU. Kameron Miles in the 247 is sitting there if we want him. The Mike Mitchell recruitment or lack there of so far is weird. I can;t believe we haven't offered yet. We'll take around 18-20 so there's not a lot of 'ships left. It will start to look more clear following spring and summer.

No really high names but a lot of good prospects. Darius James, RSJ and maybe Raulerson if he puts on weight or Swoopes if he plays well in the Elite 11/ AA game will be our commits that have 5 star status by the end imo. That's where the top of the class will come from, instead of late pick ups.

I thought that Mealer and Omameh were the starting guards? And if Roh goes down I thought that Black would slide over since he will have added weight and then Pipkins will play 3 tech.

Burzynski started the Spring Game, not sure what that means.

And relying on a freshman for DT is dicey, especially if we have no legit backups. Our team is fine as it stands now, but if we get injuries on the lines it could be a tough year.

    Damn you Rich Rod.

    what up mrider?

thats a tough schedule, the bitch is, um will have a better team then last yr but could finish with a worse record...

altho, all those games are very winnable too...

good luck to u folks this yr (except....well you know!)

I believe 247 only factors in the top 18 commits anyway for their rankings so it doesn't benefit huge classes. Could be mistaken, but personally I think yes they will pass up.

  • Thanks for the responses guys.

Mrider. Despite your record, I still think a BCS bowl is possible due to that possible one non-conference loss and winning the conference.

Canadian. Appreciate it. Don't really follow Texas' recruiting that hard.

Yeah Im pretty good at what I do so I thought I was dead on, just double checking like a true boss cool

Like I said the 18 you get are gonna be all kids who nobody would turn away so I also wouldn't close the door on a higher finish, too early to call right now

Last year FSU finished was #2 and UGA #6 with just 19.

USC's 18 man class could easily finish in the top 5 this year. By the end of the year it should have a minimum of 3 5 stars and the rest 4-stars.

Not much man in the final stretch of exams, done real soon. What up with you?

Yeh man, our schedule is tougher than last year that's for sure. lol

I think we will be better with a worse record, as tough as it is to be patient that's what I am trying. Michigan is just not very deep or particularly talented in the trenches, for us to win tough games consistently that needs to change which it is IMO.

Games are all winnable, but losable in the same token. Especially on the road, where Michigan was 2-2 last year.

Can't fricken wait until September (and November obviously) this schedule will be a lot of fun to watch.
