  • Lori and Carl are the cause of most of the bad things that seem to happen. If Lori had not had her tearful apology, I don't think Shane would have been pushed over the edge. She gave him just enough hope to think he could have her back. And don't get me started on Carl. Best show on T.V. behind Game of Thrones.

I assumed that was Lori's intent (to push Shane). Whether prompted by Rick or on her own and letting Rick know her intentions.

The most interesting thing to me was Lori's tearful apology (God I hate her). I think that will be a major theme moving forward. Whether she dedicates herself to a "new" Rick or she weeps for Shane. It is going to be interesting/revealing how/when they show how the virus is spreading. They are leaving it to the audiences imagination right now. Gale Hurd, one of the producers said that "the whisper" will be reveled during Season 2, so that gives us one episode to finally hear what Jenner said to Rick.

If you die, you become a zombie. I don't know how they could have made this clearer.

Only guy out of all the characters that I could see surviving absolutely by himself. Everyone is either too stupid or incapable to do it.

Darrel is a straight beast. Darrel, rick, and glen are my favorite characters.

  • Maggie, Lori & Andrea in order you would smash. Go.

As for me: 1. Maggie 2. Andrea 3. Lori

  • So since no one replied to my hypothesis in the other thread, I'll post it here.

Maybe the 'turning into a zombie after you die, without having to be bitten' thing is linked to how moral you are, a la Doom?

We don't know about Dale since they shot him in the head, but both the former prisoner and Shane turned. Shane was a bad guy so that fits the theory, and the prisoner was at the very least shady.

  • I think its more simple...some how you can be infected, airborn perhaps...the kid was kept in the barn that did house Walkers, his wrists were all cut from trying to escape...Shane had cut his hand when he was in the bus trying to fight off the walkers...etc..I still think it had something to do with Shanes aggression spiraling to actually wanting to kill his best friend..

Shanes aggression towards Rick wasn't because of the zombie virus. It was what Lori said to him at the windmill about how she loved him, never thanked him etc.

    Everyone is infected.

That was pretty much the reveal. They may talk about it since Daryl and Glen know now that you don't have to get bit, but that's pretty much it.

  • I just started watching this year and am enjoying the show.

Is season 1 worth me renting and watching? Does it provide enough back story to warrant the time?

It's a quote from Workaholics, brah. I didn't mean anything by it. Let me try again...

Yes, you should absolutely watch the first season. They packed straight heat into six episodes. The last 10 minutes of the season finale is some of the best television I've ever seen, and AMC nailed the outro song like the always do.

  • I think Shane wanted Rick to kill him. If you watch the show he had several chances to pull the trigger but instead he just kept saying things trying to piss Rick off so he would shoot him.
