  • I don't know if it ever will be legalized or not.. I don't smoke it strictly because it's illegal.. No moral question for me, if it ever becomes legal, I'm buying a pack, or bag, or .... whatever it's sold as..

Coming from someone whose worked in the field, I find it ridiculous to believe marijuana is so terrible. And the whole idea about it being made legal will spike it usage.. that's a joke. Stopping the use of marijuana because it's illegal has the same effect of stopping driving 75 in a 65 because you'll get a ticket..

They are more likely because they have to deal with sketch ass dealers to get weed.

Yep. I can confirm from personal experience.

Because no one smokes right now am I right?

You argument sounds a lot like that of Temperance activists of the 1910s and 1920s. America went to prohibition and back and by all accounts things were better when alcohol was legal.

The fact is legal marijuana would mean not many more people smoking, a safer product, increased tax revenues, decreased likelihood of moving on to harder drugs, and it would hurt organized crime and drug dealers.

Lol. Those same.dealers would then.just focus their efforts on coke and meth.

Are you insinuating if marijuana is legalized that we'll see an increase in the usage (and illegal buying) of cocaine or meth?

And they will be increasingly marginalized by mainstream society that will have little to no use for them.

  • Just look at what happened when prohibition ended. Organized crime went down, alcohol became safer, the number of alcoholics remained relatively the same, and tax revenues went up. A similar effect would occur if marijuana is legalized.

If you're going to make bold claims like that, you're going to have to show me some studies or statistics.

Let me guess, you're all for "small government" and think the government has too much control over our lives?
