    And how many division championships?

How was that BCS Bowl for MSU? You know, the season as a whole thing.

Can't help it you guys sucked.

What was it like to see the big house in 1925? As far as I'm concerned, it's irrelevant unless you were alive. Michigan can point to the past, but I don't see anyone giving a flying f*** about Yale. Bragging about a win against an overrated v tech team that gave the game away? Can't wait to see you guys stay irrelevant. Michigan state and Wisconsin are two of the new powers and have had much more success as far as I'm concerned than Michigan because it's been recent and I see no point to respect what happened before 1990.

PSU fans are not mad at Hoke taking Douglas. It's recruiting.... it's not like Illinois sending half of their coaching staff to PSU to recruit current players. That = pathetic.

So PSU fans don't hate Meyer for last year?confused

Lmao, I have heard people claim Wisconsin fans say it, but never actually heard one myself, until now. Football started in 1990, the year Barry Alvarez was hired by Wisconsin. lol

  • Or when I was born. But you know, whatever you need to tell yourself. How much do you associate michigans worth with games played 1950 and before. Even before Bo because that's all I would care about when it comes to Michigan. Take your national championships of those times during the great depression, I'll take the recent success anyday

Football didn't start when you were born little guy. The reason you like to shut out the past is because your team sucked ass. No need to avoid it, just accept it.

LMAO, it bothers you THAT much that Wisconsin and MSU have been better than UM since before your latest all-star commit got his braces off and discovered girls make him feel tingly?

tOSU is still a national program. You're a has been that's wishing for their former glory. Let me know when you turn one of those amazing recruiting classes into legitimate success, not a punk version of a big bowl game that you only got to because your 'little brother' beat you into the ground for the division championship. It's really quite sad to see how far you've fallen, UM used to win Big Ten championships, now you would probably be good enough to compete in the ACC.

Be sure to text me when you've got some evidence. We've heard it before, you said the exact same stuff about RR's recruiting. Yeah, UM will be relevant, but you're still only a shadow of your former glory. The worst, most ill-placed superiority complex in all of sports.

Oh, and don't give in to profanity, you're too well educated to stoop that low.

Please explain why we are a has been, and osu is a national power.

I assume its cause we had 3 down years, and as of right now, osu has had 1.

Here's an example of a recruiting class being legitimate success: 2 years ago, we squeeked into a bowl game and got rolled by the 23rd best team in the sec, and we only had about 6 teams in the entire country that were worse (defensively) than us. The very next year, we won 10 games, won in an admittedly weak sugar bowl, and were ranked around the 14th best D in the country. I'm not sure which class gets the credit, but 1 of them did something legitimate. I understand that you are a Spartan, and you think that the last 4 years revolves around us only playing you, but unfortunately that's not how it works. If going to the rose bowl one year, followed up the next year by defeating the defending national champs lead by the defending Heisman winner, followed by 2 horrible, 1 below average, then back to a bcs year means we are a "has been", well I guess we have different opinions on what defines a has been.

Let's use the Wisconsin guys time frame, 1990. Michigan won a Natty in there, and MSU hasn't been to a Rose Bowl, in that entire time frame. roflmao

It's a little bit different situation this year. I am thrilled we have as many kids staying as we do, but I can't fault a recruit from looking elsewhere.

    We just don't like Urbs.

  • lol at people who think that UM's best days aren't weeeeeeeell behind them. They're the Great Britain of college football-sure, they used to be good before anybody knew what was going on or how to fight back, but in the modern era they've been at best an above-average country.

Ohio (Buckeyes, not the 13 seed) is the United States, MSU is China, Wisconsin is Russia, and Michigan is the Euro Zone- hanging on to past glory while irritating everybody else.

If hanging onto past glory is something you have NEVER done in winning a BCS game LAST YEAR, what does that say about your program?

Edit: Not sure if you knew this or not, but Alabama didn't win their division either, how did that work out for them?

Michigan has almost been to the most BCS bowls since they started. But you're right, Michigan sucks, MSU is the best.

Yeah, I'm usually pretty agreeable, but occasionally I have to redo the work of someone who happens to share your allegiance. That's when I find myself thinking up ways to insult the average UM fan. Then, since I can't say those things to him, I spout them here.

While I do think some UM fans are taking future success a little too much for granted (similar to how sustained success under RR was assumed), most of that was just hot air.

One more boom-roast before I'm done:

Ever wonder why UM was so adamant about MSU not joining the B1G? It couldn't have been fear of a level playing field, could it? Yet, since that fateful year, who has more national titles?

    MSU

    Oh, and it isn't close.

  • Ok, are you guys seriously saying that the fact that a bowl has the BCS label automatically makes it a legit nationally-relevant bowl? You got in over MSU due to a quirk of the system (it's better to finish tied for third in the conference than in second), and jumped in over more deserving teams like Kansas State due to media hype. And then you played an also-ran from the damn ACC. The ACC.

Besides, we should've gone to the Rose Bowl last year, as we won the Big Ten- we went 7-1, no one else did better than 6-2. Not our fault that we had to play an arbitrary 'championship' game against a team that we already beat.

  • Thanks OP!

Looking forward to see what Hoke can do in a couple years with the way he has recruited!

    1) No quirk, MSU didn't qualify, 3 losses will do that.

    2) Shoulda, woulda, coulda... MSU wasn't good enough.
