  • Really don't see michigan coming close...bama's defense will swarm Denard worse than anything he has ever seen. Michigan's offense will not put 14 points on the board.

  • I don't normally root for Alabama, but when I do I prefer they absolutely destroy Michigan.

Denard 7000 Bama 0. Much more accurate IMO.

I think you are refering to how many broken bones that tooth pick will have after the game and how many Alabama players will have.

  • I think with the turds only returning like 5 starters on defense it will be closer than most think. But I pick 24- 14 the turds win

Denard played horrible that game. It's a mixed bag with him, either really good or really bad.

But that WIN was by no means indicative of how he usually plays.

If he plays like he did against Nebraska or Ohio, won't matter the defense he will put up points.

Nope, referring to how many points he puts up.

Bama still has never faced anyone close to Denard, plus another off-season in offense will only help his reads. Let's just hope he shows moxie in the face of pressure, something he has lacked to this point. Instead of hucking it, take the sack try again next time. Won't work against Bama's DB's.

  • 24-13 'Bama.

'Bama is on a level that Michigan won't be able to get to for another 2-4 more years. Their defense is down right nasty and they seem to just reload every time playmakers move on to the NFL. As others have said, I think Michigan will keep it close through mid-3rd quarter, but then 'Bama pulls away from wearing down Michigan.

That said, Michigan even keeping this game close will be a sort of statement in some regard. Michigan is not there yet to compete will the few 'elite' teams. I hope they get there, but they aren't there now. Hopefully it will be an entertaining game between two of the most prestigious and storied programs.

    Agreed. They won't though.

I wasn't disagreeing with his prediction. Just saying that Denard isn't good cuz he played like shit that game is foolish is all.

That being said it's going to be closer then 24-10 IMO. And Michigan will score more then 10 without a doubt.

Very true, although you guys won't have the dual threat qb and everything that comes with that. Our entire back seven returns, but Michigan needs to plug in guys for the huge holes Martin and VanBergen leave on the DL.

Dual threat QBs are overrated when you have an OL and running game like we do. Not worried about Denard running. Our guys are very used to keeping QBs in the pocket and forcing the to throw.

Saban will take away what you do best every time. Doubt we'll face a back 7 better than what AJ faced in NOLA.

Last time you guys faced a runner as dynamic as Denard (Cam) he ate you alive. So your team might be used to keeping "dual threats" in the pocket. But if you are grouping guys like JJ, Self, etc in the same category as Denard you are way off.

But no you don't always take away what you do best every time.

I wouldn't call 12-22 for 208 yards and 26 rushes for 39 yards eating anything alive, especially from a player considered to have had the best season in history by some.

But I would say Denard compares closer to JJ than he does Cam. Much like JJ, Denard has no hope of playing the NFL at QB.

Coming back from 21-0 is torching, regardless of stats.

And agreed Denard doesn't have a chance at QB in the league. Not sure why you are saying that like an insult. Denard has his deficiencies, but I wouldn't trade him for anyone but Barkely. Guy has single handedly carried Michigan's offense the last two years to high rankings.

It's not an insult. JJ had a great record as a starting QB at LSU.

I thought it was a little more insulting to Cam to compare Denard to him as far as a dynamic player.

Cam was as good of a pocket passer as he was running.

I have to say one reason I don't expect it to be too close is your last statement. Michigan still doesn't have the talent across the board. I like where Hoke has things going and I think Michigan is another year, probably 2 from being a BCSCG contender, but Denard won't have a chance to do this by himself.
