Meh, its solid but not the best for all things
I go there sometimes for certain things, but overall its a over-rated and over-crowded zoo of bullshit

What do you go for?
The Bakery is amazing and same with all of the inhouse food that is made. I could easily eat 25LBS of the MacnCheese in one sitting.
For the cheese lovers, they have everything known to man and plus some..that is not really my thing though.
I always heard people say it was over priced prior to the one opening by my house, but I think they are right on par with every other grocery store if not cheaper.

Prices are straight, I go there for their fresh foods like fruits and steaks and shit
They certainly have a wide array of fresh foods that are good and reasonably priced
Its certainly a good grocery store, but living in a populated area there are all kinds of gems in and around DC that are as good if not better for certain things
Plus you add the popularity of Wegmans + how many god damn assholes live around here and you get a store that you can't even go to at certain times of the day
My personal favorites are foreign groceries, they have some ill shit if you know how to find it.... especially in terms of fresh seafood
The best fresh meats is still Whole Foods, and some of the Whole Foods in this country are just on another level when it comes to grocery stores

I agree with the too many damn people in Wegmans, I usually go early in the morning to avoid all herd.
There are several good Italian grocery stores/deli in DC that I stop by when I am around. There is one in Bethesda (Cant remember the name, but it is a side road off of Wisc. ave) that has home made ravioli frozen and every other type of Italian food. I am drooling thinking about it right now

The best part of the DMV is the food, might be the only good part
So many places offer that authentic foreign food that is worth dying for imo
middle eastern, south american, italian, far east... all of it is covered in abundance
