The Blue Board

The meltdown started last night with WDE's post asking if people would mod and why. Link below.

Every board has members who become friends, but for some unknown reason immature crybabies have difficulties accepting this reality so they act out. That is what started happening on Rivals Soundoff. The problem got worse when several of us started chatting on a private, invite only board on Facebook.

Members found out and started getting pissy when they were told no, they were not welcome. Sorry, it would not have been necessary had people acted properly in the first place.

Since all that began the board has spiraled. Those complaining get pissed off when a little freedom was granted and demanded the preferential treatment end. The problem here is they wanted what they didn't like stopped but got pissed off when something they did broke the rules and a mod crawled on them.

Men asking for women to make them a sandwich is a long standing joke with all men, not just message board posters. Come to find out there are people who were complaining about these jokes and saying they were derogatory toward women. Well, I am a woman and I never felt degraded by the joke.

When the shoe was on the other foot though, those same posters were screaming they were being treated unfairly. The question about a thread titled Godd@*n (but spelled out) being appropriate was posed. Somehow that got twisted and compared to the sandwich making.

It's a case of "I want liberty to do what I want and you may not do anything to take that away. If you do something I don't like though I want you to be sent to the gallows."

It's juvenile. No one wanted to tolerate any of the differences. Rather than just ignore the threads on topics one did not find entertaining these idiots felt the need to not only complain but harass those who were entertained by the thread.

It has to work both ways or it doesn't work. Instead of being adults and moving on those posters started demanding action.

Today it boiled over. Some of these guys will migrate back over because they either don't want to put in the effort or because they are really only here to be rude and troll the people they blame, just like Tide did a few weeks ago.

The second thread was started by a MB poster claiming he was finished. Whatever happens, some of us are definitely here to stay. The format is better, the membership is more diverse and obviously educated, and the supervision doesn't leave much to be desired.

Simply put, 24/7 has ten times more to offer and anyone with a brain will recognize that, the rest will eventually gtfo.

When I was on Rivals I normally just lurked on the Main Board. Why would anyone be wanting your personal information?

I'm not going to bash any mods on any site. I know some of the difficulties with being a mod. It's not an easy job. I'm glad some people are seeing that this board is very good. I hope everyone new has a fun time and is able to talk to whoever they want without the flaming and all that. The rules will not change either way. If you see something you think is against the rules or just want clarification PM me or one of the other mods and we will try and help. We usually always try and give a warning and you will know if you are doing something that isn't accepted.

You mean you don't just ban people and give no reason and expect them to figure it out? Well that's no fun.
