I actually liked them as a kid as well but I have never been a huge basketball fan. I guess it makes sense where you live at though. I remember watching them a lot back in the Iverson days though. Hell, I even remember watching Patrick Ewing when he played for them. I was YOUNG back then though.

Yeah they tight, Iverson was who got me hooked on them

Loved them ever since, I had a weird connection to them through a childhood friend and saw them court side more than a few times

Just wait until you go through withdrawal from them my friend, without question the hardest shit I have ever gone through in my life

I was taking around 200 to 300 mg's of Morphine a day for 2 years or so and took all kinds of other shit during this time as well ( around 1 year ago )

I took them for pain not to get high, and when I quit I went cold turkey like a total badass.... worst decision I ever made in my life, at one point during the 12-14 day withdrawal I was in the fetal position while sweating bullets for a solid 9-10 hours

I didn't sleep for a solid 7 days, you get a few hours here and there which they call restless sleep I think and its pure hell

And for 10-12 days you are in constant pain while you puke, sweat, and have other terrible symptoms as well

When your day comes, I wish you luck cause its pure hell and I have seen some hell

I jacked my back up in the gym a couple months ago. My doctor has me on 7.5/500 Hydros and I'm scared to death I'm going to get hooked but I only get relief from them and constant use of a heating pad. He told me last week that he's going to send me to pain management. Never had back trouble before and it freaking sucks ass.

Still makes me sad to see how Iverson's career ended (even though I think he is still trying to make a comeback).

That dude gave more effort on the floor than any other player I have seen in my life.

I mean I get what you are saying but I take painkillers MAYBE two days a week. I've gone through some of that when I severed my Achilles tendon and was on them for a few months daily though. I remember having physical symptoms like diarrhea and bad headaches for a couple of weeks though when I did kick them.

I'm pretty careful about them honestly.

    Yeah Im just saying

See I never took them to get high, I literally had to take them to get out of bed in the morning

My back problems were fierce and when coupled with 8 years of service and being a total jackass to my body I paid a heavy tool

I went through damn near 3 years of constant physical therapy, Im just now getting back to full strength and have been off PK's for around 5 months

Don't even get me started brother, and don't take this the wrong way but your body types are danger zones for the worst kind of back problems and trust me when I say that if you don't change your lifestyle it will only get worse and worse

I can just tell by not even looking at a full picture of you

If you ever have any questions you can PM me any time, I have studied the human spine pretty extensively the past 8 years and I know a ton of ways to fix yourself

You just have to work for it, surgery and that crap is all bullshit when it comes to backs and they only prescribe medicine or PK's because it lines their pockets

The first thing you need to start doing is relax with the lifting for awhile and start stretching... like all the time, everyday 6 if not 7 days a week once you get good at it

I'd also recommend buying an inversion table and hanging upside down for at least 1 hour a day, that will really help in decompressing your spine and relieving pain

But make no mistake, you have to fight through all kinds of pain when rehabbing back injuries no matter what route you take

    Prepare that anus

Yeah he was a boss, but he was also a very angry and sad kid/man deep down and this is why he didn't end his career well

Most people don't know this but he ripped Newports on the regular and the drinking and weed smoke was gonna catch up to him eventually

And never got over the racial scandal of his arrest and the way his hometown treated him not only then but those that supported him turned their backs too years later cause he never returned home really and gave back

But can you really blame him ? I mean, it wasn't the right thing to do but I understand how deep his rage was towards the place he grew up

Ill never get over him getting into G Town with a GED, John Thompson did what he wanted lol

In time the hydros will cause the pain. Even if your back is 100% healed, your brain is going to lie to your body so that you feed it more painkillers. And if you don't, the pain will be unbearable.

I had 8-10 of chronic back pain and was heavily medicated. I went to the Ohio State pain clinic, and my last year of treament and test cost over $40,000. I went to a spine surgeon around 97-98, and he said due to scoliosis, degenerative disc disease, and stenosis, I would be permanently disabled in 2-3 years. He said the extent and number of problems eliminated surgery as an option.

If you can get recommendations for a highly qualified chiropractor, go. The one I went to is remarkable. 95% of them may be quacks, but a good one is amazing. And a months worth of treatment will be cheaper than one MRI. Give it a try. Been there and done that, and no back pain in 13-14 years. Took up running 6 years ago at age 42, and have run the MCM10K 3 times now.

Pain management means keeping you medicated, and a 100% guarantee that you will never recover while on the pain medicine.
