I actually liked them as a kid as well but I have never been a huge basketball fan. I guess it makes sense where you live at though. I remember watching them a lot back in the Iverson days though. Hell, I even remember watching Patrick Ewing when he played for them. I was YOUNG back then though.

Just wait until you go through withdrawal from them my friend, without question the hardest shit I have ever gone through in my life
I was taking around 200 to 300 mg's of Morphine a day for 2 years or so and took all kinds of other shit during this time as well ( around 1 year ago )
I took them for pain not to get high, and when I quit I went cold turkey like a total badass.... worst decision I ever made in my life, at one point during the 12-14 day withdrawal I was in the fetal position while sweating bullets for a solid 9-10 hours
I didn't sleep for a solid 7 days, you get a few hours here and there which they call restless sleep I think and its pure hell
And for 10-12 days you are in constant pain while you puke, sweat, and have other terrible symptoms as well
When your day comes, I wish you luck cause its pure hell and I have seen some hell

I mean I get what you are saying but I take painkillers MAYBE two days a week. I've gone through some of that when I severed my Achilles tendon and was on them for a few months daily though. I remember having physical symptoms like diarrhea and bad headaches for a couple of weeks though when I did kick them.
I'm pretty careful about them honestly.

I jacked my back up in the gym a couple months ago. My doctor has me on 7.5/500 Hydros and I'm scared to death I'm going to get hooked but I only get relief from them and constant use of a heating pad. He told me last week that he's going to send me to pain management. Never had back trouble before and it freaking sucks ass.

In time the hydros will cause the pain. Even if your back is 100% healed, your brain is going to lie to your body so that you feed it more painkillers. And if you don't, the pain will be unbearable.
I had 8-10 of chronic back pain and was heavily medicated. I went to the Ohio State pain clinic, and my last year of treament and test cost over $40,000. I went to a spine surgeon around 97-98, and he said due to scoliosis, degenerative disc disease, and stenosis, I would be permanently disabled in 2-3 years. He said the extent and number of problems eliminated surgery as an option.
If you can get recommendations for a highly qualified chiropractor, go. The one I went to is remarkable. 95% of them may be quacks, but a good one is amazing. And a months worth of treatment will be cheaper than one MRI. Give it a try. Been there and done that, and no back pain in 13-14 years. Took up running 6 years ago at age 42, and have run the MCM10K 3 times now.
Pain management means keeping you medicated, and a 100% guarantee that you will never recover while on the pain medicine.
