Went to the World Of Wheels last weekend

Hi guys!!! I made my first real trip since I was diagnosed with cancer in Sept of 2011. I live in Altoona, AL, and I went to Birmingham, AL to the World Of Wheels car show. We also went by Olive Garden for lunch. I walked the whole thing, plus had to walk around because I had forgotten which lot I parked in. LOL!!! Other than being sore as all do get out, I did alright! The bad part, I think I caught a stomach bug there. I have just gotten back to where I can eat and all again. So I think I will do alright taking in a college football game!! Looking forward to seeing my Auburn tigers play at some point!! But I am improving!!! I am going back next Thursday for another chemo treatment. Pray for me!! God bless you guys!! I love you guys!!

Thats awesome man! Will definitely keep saying a prayer for ya, oh an BTW I am from the Hokes Bluff/Gadsden area so i'm just a stones throw away from ya. There is no place better than Etowah County/NE Alabama

Keep fighting and thinking posetive War Eagle! I know what you mean about being tired. It took me about 3 months to get my stregth back after my surgery.

It's ok, no worries! I just hope I have a reason to cheer this season! The last one was dismal to say the least!! I do hope I feel good enough to attend a game or 2 this season. Thank you my friend!! I do appreciate the thoughts and prayers! Please send them my way Thursday of this coming week, 2-21-13, I got for another round of chemo then. My doctor seemed very pleased at how I am doing. And good luck to your wolverines this season!! I watch them play when I get the chance. I start @ 10:00 on Sat mornings, and usually go to bed around 2:00 am (watching west coast games) God bless you and your family!! Love you like my own family!!!

Thank you sir, and thanks to the Wolverine nation!!! My wife is a huge fan of the Olive Garden. So I usually go for her. I loaded up on the soup, salad, and breadsticks! I LOVE their breadsticks!! I a a huge fan of the Japanese resturants that cook in front of you!! I could eat a platter full of fried rice!!! I guess I'm weird!! But it is hard to beat a good steak! Chemotherapy just feels like it sucks your energy out of you. An investment I did recently make, I did buy me a leather recliner, and I LOVE it!!! I'll do my best to keep you all posted!! I have always been a country boy, and the day I looked at this property, I knew it was right for me! There was a pine thicket across the street from me, a man bought it, and cleared all the timber off of it, and I have an awesome view of the mountains now!! I will sit on the porch a lot of mornings (weather permitting) and drink coffee and watch the sun come up. God bless you my friend!!

Will do my friend!!! I don' know what it is about chemotherapy, but it just drains me!! I will drift off to sleep sitting straight up!! I have been like this almost 2 years now. It sucks, but it sure beats being sick, or losing all your hair and such. I just do what I can, as I can. And I am sure appreciative of all the thoughts and prayers!! Hey man. Just wanted to tell you that I pray for you just about every night since I first read your story. In a cruel turn of events I was diagnosed with leukemia on December 7th of last year. At the age of 26 (actually I turned 27 yesterday) it hit me by surprise but I am going to beat it. No questions asked I'm going to beat it. I've had three rounds of chemo so far and I agree they wear me out. Just know that you're an inspiration for me and I'm sure others out there who have seen your positive outlook. Thanks for your stories. War eagle and roll tide (I'm a Bama fan so that was tough for me to say).
