lived in Miami for a year and a half here are few suggestions
restaurants
Joe's Stone Crabs- one of the more famous places
Beer and Burger Joint- very good burgers
The Daily- amazing sandwiches
Garcia's- great seafood, reasonable prices
places
Bayside Marketplace- shops/restaraunts
Coconut Grove- shops/restaurants
Dolphin Mall- giant mall
Lincoln Road Mall- on south beach, shops/restaurants
The Village at Merrick Park- shops/restaurants
clubs
South Beach has a ton of clubs if that's what you want/like
downtown bars
Tobacco Road (my favorite)
Finnegan's River (close 2nd)
Waxy O'Connors
the coconut grove area also has a ton of restaurants/bars that are good and much more laid back than South Beach

I've always heard Joe's Stone Crab do I feel like that's a must. Garcia's & Pubbelly sound legit as well.

Garcia's is great... like I said the prices are very reasonable and the food is excellent. It's also right on the Miami river
Joe's Stone Crab is very good, but it's also rather pricey.

Joe's Stone Crab ftw. Make a trip to Coral Cables as well. It might make you think something different about Miami.

Go by where the old Orange Bowl site, now Marlin Park, was (daylight only trip, to Little Havana), and take a piss there. That smell after the piss.....that reminds of of those pissing troughs they had there.
Historic, but extremely shi++y stadium....kind of like Duh U's program.

Joe's is one of those landmark places. Locals always say "landmark places" are overrated. For the casual visitor, though, those places help provide distinction to a trip.
I like the shot at FSU. You've got work to do to catch back up to speed, but you're making progress, son. Keep ya head up.

The Deuce and the Sandwicherie (across the street from The Deuce)
Addendums:
- Pay no heed to the anti-Joe's camp. Stone crabs are overrated but Joe's isn't. It's an epic feed. Key lime pie is $$$
- If you can tolerate a high d-bag quotient Nikki Beach is usually teeming with talent

Had the fried roe & conch fritters for an app, grilled yellowtail fillet with yellow rice (paella) & plantains for dinner & drank a couple of Mahous on draft (Spanish beer that's uber dank- tastes most like a negra modelo/amber ale hybrid). Well done whoever suggested this place. Great, great experience.

Great. The high is right at 80 every day. I went for a run this morning & then we hit the beach all day. It was hot but not too bad.
